During a lockout...

Post#1 » by GTO » Wed Jul 14, 2010 10:30 pm

If the NBA gets into another lockout, can the NBA Players Association (or a random collection of players) organize a season of games to be played at arenas not affiliated with NBA (perhaps in non-NBA cities) and sell tickets in order to give the players some stream of income during the lockout?

Just curious what a player under an NBA contract, but cannot work for the NBA team due to a lockout can do to make money.

I believe yes if the players are locked out. However, if the players strike they can not. I am sure if they try to law suits would be field any how.

They tried to organize a game last lockout but nobody wanted to pay big money for tickets. People knew it was a sham.
