Or you could look at it as moving Al Jeff so that you could sign guys like Milic, your foreign guy (sorry forget his name), and Beasley. All the while maintaining the space to make a run a ta guy like Iggy :)

I totally understand Min not wanting to move Johnson, I'm merely saying, my personal opinion, there isn't really anyone on the team I'd want in an Iggy deal, so if that means we keep Iggy, great.

I completely understand. It just depends on what the front office's motivation is. If it's primarily cap relief motivated then we can offer up something. If it's to get some role players back then the Rockets deal looks better for you guys.

krapinsky,
you hearing anything out of minny as to what minny is offering?

as for sixer trade likelihood..i was just fed the company line..we wont make a trade just to make a trade..has to make sense short and long term for us.

great....

Sorry, nothing has been reported yet. Sessions is on the wire right now, so it's probably one step at a time. However, my general speculation would be future protected firsts (Utah/Mem), cap relief, Koufos, and one of Brewer or Webster. Koufos would have to be traded subsequently for part your TPE. If it's Webster you take in the deal then we'd be very close to being able to take on Kapono as well. I realize it's not a very moving offer, but I don't think we can afford to offer much more than that after dumping Al for so little.

I'd be willing to bet a large amount of money the only way Iggy goes to Minnesota is if Wesley Johnson or Kevin Love is coming to Philly. We aren't trading Iggy for middle/late 1st rounders, fringe starters and cap space.

I'm holding out for a deal with Houston. I think they can offer up an enticing package for Iguodala. Personally I think Trevor Ariza is a good player for our team so i'd be very happy if that was the return.

Hey fellas I don't mean to troll and pardon me if I'm out of line for sidetracking this thread, but just out of curiosity what do you guys see in Ariza that you don't see in Brewer/Webster?

Their comps are all pretty identical:

Personally I don't see Ariza, Brewer or Webster being worthy of an Iggy trade wothout some much better assets attached to them. Unless the FO is trying to do a salary dump, I think we hold on to Iggy based on the current offers allegedly out there.

I don't want to make this into to much fantasy projection...

but i wonder what the possiblities would be of a 3 team deal or a deal where we go with Chi, but then flip Deng immediately?

Would Hou/Min/Lac be interested in taking Deng from us a fuzz cheaper than an Iggy? The deal's that are being offered by Hou or Min in this thread, I'd be fine with doing for Deng, if we swapped Iggy for Deng/Gibson/1st. So then Deng to Min for Koufos/Brewer/protected 1st (Mem/Uta), or to LAC for a TPE/Jordan, or to Houston for Ariza/Hill/pick. Course that assumes one of those teams are interested in Deng, since (imo) their packages don't get them Iggy.

Jrue/LWill
Turner/Meeks
Young/Brewer
Brand/Gibson
Hawes/Speights/Koufos
((Chi prot 1st, Mem/Uta prot 1st))

Agreed. Not even close, actually.

Adding this here, cause this is the most active thread and this is so wrong that I shouldn't start a new thread...

Supposedly Willie Green opted out ...

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/4202 ... the-sixers

"The team hit a bit of a bailout with guard Willie Green choosing to opt out with his early termination option, thus becoming a free agent. Green still falls under the team's cap because he could technically stay put, but chances are someone will want his services and his expiring contract."

I don't believe this for a second, since it asn't been reported anywhere.

Do we have a salary figure on Turner? Cmon onsider, don't just tell us the blurb, get us the contract details that AP and sixers.com don't have.  :D

Iguodala for Wes Johnson plus a TE, please.

but no to Ariza, etc. The team needs young talent that can develop into more than a role player.

He must have heard that Billy King is back in the NBA! Time for Willie Green to cash in with another long term contract, lol.

All I can say is that this whole conversation is unbelievable! SF76 has repeatedly stated the the last two months that Iggy wasn't being traded. Then we heard that it would take a star to move him. Now, we're talking about marginal starters and low draft picks. Personally, I always thought that there would be interest around the league & this is proving to be true. But the return has to be better than Ariza & Jeffries. If that's the best that is offered then Iggy should stay put.

I wonder if this is true? I can see WG opting out hoping to get a longer contract. I think Charlotte has room for a low priced veteran guard who plays the right way.

Good... I hope he did opt out. Jodie Meeks can get his minutes then.

I think we would have heard of this by now if WG opted out. If he did I wonder if we would use part of the MLE since it would put us a comfortable distance from the luxury tax.

I really would wish him the best if he opted out.... No hate... only love.... I know at one time right at the end of his rookie season he looked like he was going to be a big time player for us. The knee went bad on him but he came back strong again in 06 but I don't think he's ever going to really be what I saw he could have become.

Stefanski's first mistake of the offseason was drafting Turner over Cousins. I'd hate for Stefanski to make this a worse offseason by trading Iguodala for Ariza or W. Johnson.

No... Drafting Turner was picking the best player available and that is that.
