Greg Miller comment

Post#1 » by The Sheik » Thu Jul 15, 2010 3:57 am

Greg Miller said the Jazz are going to go deeper into the tax than even last season.

Does this mean re-signing Fes and not making salary dumps or using the rest of the MLE and possibly trade exemptions?

I think it means there's something else in the works that we're going to be hearing about in the next few days; or it could be a ploy to try and attract free agents.

technically we're already deeper into the tax than last season after we sign Bell, Evans + 4 min contracts, even if we don't re-sign Fes.

he's just talking about Bell most likely

Evans, Gaines and Jeffers are already signed. We are right about where we were last season after the bell signing.

Evans, Gaines, and Jeffers all have guarenteed contracts already?

So with Raja, we already have 12 men under contract w/ a qualifying offer to Fes?

They only have contracts for summer league play. They are not signed for season yet

So, can we stop all this whiny "the Millers are evil misers who only care about money" crap now?

Greg has a serious MAN SIZED sack. You have to wonder what the Jazz could have done had they been willing to dip into this territory in the 90s... :o

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Right, but they can be cut at anytime at no cost to the Jazz.

I'm starting to get that vibe from Greg that he's taking charge of this franchise. It felt like last year he and Gail were trying to run everything the way Larry would've -- constantly second guessing and trying to stick to whatever plans or advice he left them.
