Big Al Question

Post#1 » by RJM » Thu Jul 15, 2010 1:45 am

Hey T'Wolves fans I was wondering something. Since he's returned from injury, has Al Jefferson been able to get back in to pre-injury shape? The reason I asked was because I remember seeing him look very heavy when he came back as opposed to the way he looked before. Thanks in advance.

He was fine by the end of the season. His biggest problem early on was a lack of quickness, but that passed too.

He'll be a fine player in Utah.

Yeah, he'll be fine. In March (12 games) he posted 19/10/54%fg. I expect him to beast in Utah.

I'm expecting improvement from last season. He was never very athletic, so the knee injury isn't as big of a concern. He'll be as good as he was (if not better) before the injury.

He's supposedly worked really hard this summer... I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a career year next year.

Towards the end of the year he was starting to look like his former self. I expect him to be 100% and back to his left post dominating ways.

P.S. your Chris Quinn avatar is epic.

While he never looked completely healthy at any point in the season, if you look at his monthly numbers, it shows he was getting stronger until the death of his grandmother (I think that was feb)

NOV FG 46.8%, 7.8 RB, 16.6 PPG
DEC FG 49.6%, 10.2 RB, 18.7 PPG
JAN FG 51.4%, 11.5 RB, 20.5 PPG
