Just interesting to note Arm Length vs. the average for a player that height. Note how some players have noticeably longer wingspan than reach, making them more of a widebody.Lazar Hayward is the best example of this. Corey Brewer's skinniness shows up here too.Others buck that trend, like Kevin Love. Do the orthotics come into play here?
Just thought it would be interesting to post since we're always arguing about length & athleticism. The athletic testing numbers aren't as currently valuable, since players can work on that stuff, but can't will their arms or legs to keep growing. I'm sure brewer's improved his vert, for example.
Bookmark the page if you want to keep it, it'll probably disappear pretty fast.
Webster at SG and Johnson or Beasley at SF gives us a very long wing combo.
Darko is long for a center, and all our current PG's are below average.
Beasley has about avg length at PF, and Love slightly below avg.

Re: Fun with Wolves draft Measurements
wow I'm surprised to see Kevin Love's (max) vertical being so high and Darko wheighing only 250 lbs. the latter one was measured back in 2003 right? that would explain a lot. he's probably around 270-280 now.
and thanks a lot for that informative post!

Re: Fun with Wolves draft Measurements
Yeah Darko was 17 when those measurements were taken and pretty skinny, Webster only 18.
Beasley is a guy that really sticks out with his strength, length, and athleticism.
It would be really interesting if they did a wonderlic test like the NFL does.

Re: Fun with Wolves draft Measurements
great post.
got to think this roster looks alot better than the one with gomes at the 4, Al at the 5, brew at 3, foye at the 2, telfair at the 1.
couple things that stood out to me were;
Loves sprint and verts were impressive
When adding darkos current weight.... he is HUGE.
Jonny almost 6'1 in shoes? I thought he was more like 5'10.
Hayward, Johnson and Webby's length was good to see - goes to show Kahn and Rambo are putting an emphasis on that with our vision of a running athletic squad.
I knew this before, but people really really mis-judge corey brewer... I keep hearing hes such an LONG athletic defender... but really hes below average for SF's (his natural position) in length and about average for 2s. Which contributes partially to him to be overrated as a defender. I think this is another sign brew could be moved, either soon or at the deadline. Especially seeing our FOs love for Hayward, and his length, and better shooting. Not to mention Corey's a McHale guy, and his value is fairly high for him now.
Overall, regardless of how much Kahn is ripped... our team size, length and athleticism is much, much better. Now, if we could plug Iggy in at the 2, we could fight for the 8th seed!!! ..... maybe we would need some brian scal too

Wow crazy to believe that Love can get up that high. I was almost certain that Beasley would be at 36-37.

Don't get me wrong... I LOVE mike... But let's just say that the wonderlic test would bring him to the pack in the aggregate
