GSW has a candidate too. I'd match their boy Riley against any GM.....not counting housepets and small children

lol. That does fit, but I'm pretty sure most of us assumed that most of those multiple pieces would be a #1 or #2 options. I guess we got greedy. Beasley (could be #1, but realisitically #2 or 3) and Wes Johnson (realistically #3). I'm pretty sure you need that 1# and #2 just to make the playoffs in the west.

And at what point exactly did Kahn miss the chance to secure that #1 option? I havent seen that opportunity present itself yet.

And at what point exactly did I say Kahn had a chance? I merely said that when Kahn first got hired and made statements like 15 months, most of us probably assumed that we'd get a #1 option magically. Of course, that didn't happen. When Kahn said "competeing for Championships for 3-4 years" I thought he mean in 15 months we'd be ready to contend for 3-4 years. That's my mistake. Kahn actually implied that by the beginning of this season we'd have the pieces we need to hopefully turn into a contender by 2015-2016....and that makes me kinda sad, cuz thats about 10 years of being horrible. :( as long as we win some games and are like a 6 seed by 2014/2015, that'd keep me happy. I don't want to be the next team with the playoff drought record.

When he says "competing for Championships", he's talking true LEGIT shots at NBA Championships, not just making a first or second round exit. If you're talking just being a 6 seed, I'm pretty sure he's expecting that much sooner than 2015. But being a team that's in the WCFs a couple times at least, or even in the NBA Finals, that's just not gonna happen that quickly. It never does. If in 2015, we are talking during preseason about truly being in the mix for winning a title, I will be thrilled.
