Re: Raja Bell signs with Utah Jazz?
bell wouldve been a nice addition due to the fact that hes proven capable of holding hes own on defense and could spread the floor. now if shannon comes back hes proven that he cant guard wade single coverage or other bigger guards and will eventually result in kobe playing higher mins. i hope we sign barnes, when we need a defensive player to handle guards we're call him, and when we need alittle more offense i guess we're put sasha in there

Have you noticed that no one is offering him anything? It's because he sucks.
Damn your so negative about everything. I think he does fine given the playing time he receives, or lack there of. He's still young and hes as athletic as they come, his WOW plays and amazing dunks infuse our whole team with energy and often changes momentum in our favor. That alone is very valuable. I Also think when Kobe missed those 5 games or so he stepped it up big and proved that hes solid. I agree that his 3 point shooting wasnt that impressive this year but i think he has the ability to be good in that department. Ifyou remember in our 09 championship run he was lighting it up from deep. Hes a good bench player for us.
He has the basketball IQ of well, Kwame Brown. He just always looks so confused out there.

Boozer + Matthews > Jefferson + Raja
Utah will be lucky to hang onto a 7 or 8 seed this year.

Push harder for Mike Miller? Uhh Mitch tried to force his hand before LeBron's Decision. But Miller called our bluff and pretty much blew us the f*#k off.
He is buddy buddy with Bron. So if you knew about how tight they are then you had to know Miller was going to hold out like a Prom date on Mitch.
Are you guys sure there's someone we're not missing besides T-Mac. I cant believe that Shannon is still available and Farmar is gone. Guys we may just have to suck it up with Brown.

Yeah I can go with that Daryl Jr. would be nice but he would have start knocking them down. I haven't seen any consistency in his outside shot.

Bell likes Sloan. Can't say I blame him for this one. It's a shame, but it isn't like he's going to win a Championship with the Jazz.

Re: Raja Bell signs with Utah Jazz?
im wondering if this kobe/raja meeting was a bogus rumor. kobe wines and dines raja in LA, when all we have to offer is 1.7M of the MLE when many teams were interested in him that could offer plenty more? raja is 33, this is his last chance for a nice payday. maybe raja's team started this bs rumor.
why else wasn't kobe at the espy's? too hot? or more likely on vacation. same with lamar he's hollywood now as well where was he?
fish was sitting up front with the wife.

Forget championship, the Jazz may not even make the playoffs. Hope the extra money satisfies that competitive hunger Raja.
Lakers, Mavs, Suns, Blazers, Spurs, OKc, Nuggs, Rox - all legit playoff caliber teams the Jazz have to deal with, not to mention Griz and Clips.

Once again, Buss' stingyness gets the best of him. He gave Blake a little too much and it's hurt our leverage. I think we could have brung him in at $3-3.5m. It's hard to get quality with a "measly" $1.8m. I wouldn't be surprised if we could have filled the rest of that MLE by now if we had 2.5m

what is the love fest with Barnes? 1st off, he turned down MORE money from Orl already and 2ndly his D is overrated, try watching that orl/bos series again, Pierce did whatever the hell he liked against Barnes and Pietreus.

Re: Raja Bell signs with Utah Jazz?
Can't say that I blame Bell for taking Utah's deal. I'm pretty sure the Lakers weren't offering anything close to $10 mil or 3 years. With his age and the uncertain CBA situation, he did what was best for his family and himself.

I'm more confident with the Jazz (Let's face it, Jefferson/Bell/Harward isn't really a big downgrade from Boozer/Korver) making the post season than the Suns, and injuries could end the chances for the Nuggets, and Blazers.

Yes, because you have all the inside information.
Did it ever occur to you that Otis Smith is on record TWICE saying Matt Barnes has not been offered a new contract?
What exactly do you want for $2m? Last I checked, we're not a team that's make or break for them to live up to some reputation. We still have Kobe, Artest, and Odom where they fall short. And Barnes is still better than Sasha, Walton, and Farmar. Overrated.

how bout he OPTED out of MORE money then we're offering with Orl? If that doesn't give you any indication he wants money then I dont know what else would. Overrated in the sense that all you Barnes homers are making it sound like h some sort of defensive stopper which he isn't and like I said Pierce made Barnes his biatch in that series, Walton has done a better job then that when healthy.

Re: Raja Bell signs with Utah Jazz?
He opted out because of the impending CBA cluster **** next summer, smart guy. Just like Shannon Brown. Just like Pierce. Just like Dirk. Just like John Salmons.
They could have taken the risk of working out a new deal for (likely) less money next summer, or they could have done the smart thing and opted out this summer. It's really not that complicated.
Please stop talking if you don't know what you're talking about.
