We have Splitter Duncan Bonner Blair and I noticed
Magloire was a free agent I dont know what his direction is but he would be a good bench or even a better starter than Bonner at center. He was a 10 and 10 guy at 30mpg and a shot blocker aswell. Just a thought.....

Re: big men
You forgot to mention McDyess. I don't mind Magloire, but we have enough bigs IMO. with the 5 bigs we have, I prefer we get some young project instead but don't know if any is available. 6 big guys for the PF and C position is enough. I'd like us to get a SF/PF type more than another Center.

Yeah dice I forgot. But true centers imo shotblockes we dont have Bonner is not a center blair is in the same boat as bonner we have Duncan Splitter at center and Bonner Blair and Dice as PF I just feel we need a true defencive Center so the lineup is
5)Magloire,Splitter,Dice
4)Duncan,Blair,Bonner
3)RJ,Jones(If he signs),Hairston
2)Manu,Glee,Jerells
1)TP,Hill,Temple
Thats 15 and a good 15 imo GO SPURS GO

4)Duncan,Blair,Bonner

Re: big men
Yeah, but you should also take into account that teams don't play 6 bigs regularly in every game. They play 4 guys regularly with the 4th one playing the least amount of minutes.
96 minutes to divide.
-Duncan is slotted in at 32 minutes.
-Bonner probably gets 16 minutes a game. I find it hard to believe the Spurs resign Bonner at that money just to have him rot on the bench as the 3rd PF. Him and Dice are our only shooters on the floor. Bonner got 18 minutes last year and 24 minutes the year before. I'll just hope that it continues to decrease and have it at 16 minutes.
That leaves 48 minutes for 2 players. Blair and Splitter. It can be 24-24... or 32-16 or whatever, but it's not like we have a lot of minutes to play guys anymore and we still haven't fill in McDyess' minutes.
I don't mind Magloire as an insurance big (6th big). But if you want him to start like on that list... No way. He's a 3rd string Center right now. I'd rather have us bring in Theo Ratliff again. Magloire wasn't much of a shotblocker when he made the allstar anyways. he blocked 1.2 shots in 34 minutes.

Re: big men
Why would we even think about bring in another big? We are still missing a SF. How about we lock up a SF before we even start to talk about another big. Also i much rather bring back Ian.

I'd still take Shaq with the rest of the MLE and take a vet wing with the BAE.

Re: big men
Hey all I read here regularly but finally decided to sign up......as far as the topic I think a shot blocking big is a must once we get the wing player resolved. Magloire gives us a big body but we need some younger legs. I would have loved for the spurs to have looked at Ryan Hollins last year, he would have been a great rotation player for the system(even though his offense is suspect). This year I think we should have looked @ Joel Anthony, having Mcdyess as our most proven athletic big man defender is not exactly what you want.

Re: big men
If we are to add a 6th big men, I do hope it's a shotblocker because that's certainly what is lacking from our bigs right now. However, with so many holes on the roster right now... Most glaring at SF, I don't think signing a big should be in any of our top priority and I certainly don't think we should be spending anything more than the minimum for that 6th big men. What is left of our MLE should go to a SF. The BAE should go to a shooter because our perimeter lineup right now has only 1 shooter and he's a rookie SG who is currently injured.

Re: big men
I think Magloire will be re-signing with the Heat. I personally wouldn't have minded getting Brad Miller, always liked his game, but he signed a deal with Houston. Not sure he's worth $5M per though.
