Has Sid been asked if the Yankees are ruining baseball because they are able to have the type of free agency the Heat had this summer every single year due to their $200 million dollar budget compared to smaller teams that have $50 million dollar budgets?

I know Sid is a huge NYC guy so Im really curious as to what his response would be.

I've been watching a few Timmy-era Heat-Knicks games from back in the day, and I must say that Mike Miller could very well become the next Thunder Dan sans the high-level defense. That's a beautiful sign.

You definitely won't see that same level of in-your-face defense (especially with the rules not really allowing it in this era), but one thing underrated about Mike's game is his ability to create. In that sense you're actually going to get more out of him than we did from Thunder.

I remember living in central Florida off and on from around 00-03 and seeing a lot of Magic games, and Mike was a huge part of those Orlando teams. He was clearly the 2nd best player during that time due to Grant Hill's injuries, and was similar to a Lamar Odom as your 2nd best in terms of impact. Since he'll be no better than 4th or 5th best on this team, that bodes very well for us.

Agreed. There's a reason why he won Rookie of The Year over guys like Vince Carter and Paul Pierce.

Miller won ROY in 2000, and Carter won ROY in 1998.

Handled all of Sid's questions masterfully. LeBron needs to take a lesson from him and be more real. You can tell Dwyane's just being himself when he's interviewed.

This is exactly what I said after the introduction of the big three. Bosh might be funny but Dwyane is definitely the best media guy on the team and one of the best in the league.

among the 3 superstars...

as far as being the most funny and likable, bosh is the best media guy.

as far as playing it smart and safe, wade is the best media guy.

as far as being cocky (in a good way) and unapologetic about this team's awesomeness, bron is the best media guy.

I LOVE THIS TEAM. lol

Definition of leadership... Definition of team... Definition of Heat...

Wade Says James ‘didn’t quit’ on Cavs’ Playoff Run

By TIM REYNOLDS
AP Sports Writer

MIAMI (AP)—They’ve been teammates for only a week, and Dwyane Wade is already standing up for LeBron James.

Wade defended the NBA’s two-time reigning MVP on Thursday, telling The Associated Press that James “didn’t quit” on Cleveland during the playoffs. That was the accusation made by Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert last week, not long after James went on television to reveal he was leaving Cleveland for Miami.

“He’s not a quitter,” Wade said. “He didn’t quit.”

I think Wade learned some good things from Shaq who is a master on how to play the media.
