Can Jrue be a top10 pg next year?
I know I might be a little high on the guy right now. Im just going on what i saw late last season, the summer league and the fact that I think Collins and Mckie will just futher his development. And as I think about the pgs in the league today whos the top 10? Off the top of my head i got.
1. Paul ( if healthy )
2. Deron Williams
3. Rose
4. Rondo
5. Nash
6. Kidd
7. Bullips
8. T. Parker
9. Jennings?
10. A. Brooks?
After that there's the Westbrook and maybe Holiday. Is there any way by years end Holiday will be in that top 10?

Top 10... NO.
Add Wall to the above list, along with a bundle of other 2nd year points guards like Collison, Jennings Flynn, Curry, Evans, etc who had equally if not more impressive rookie seasons than Jrue.

Re: Can Jrue be a top10 pg next year?
Who cares if there rookie seasons were more impressive??? Jennings shot 39 percent and is a fraud! Holliday is the best point taking in that draft he just happened to play for a moron last year that didn't know how to use him. The only thing givin equal minutes that jennings can do better is score and a point guards primary job isn't to score. Holliday when its all said and done will be a better percentage shooter, defender ( by a mile and a half) floor general, rebounder, passer, leader etc.etc. Don't get caught up in flash and gunning, if that was the case everyone from those and1 tapes would be in the NBA. And holliday will be in the top 10 in point gaurds next season but probobly around 10 or 9 and continue to rise. Will he ever be top 3 or 5 in the league prob not but very good. And better then every point drafted last year. As for your top ten list Westbrook is better right now then every point in the league except for in this order Deron williams, chris paul ( 1 and 1a hieght gives him the edge) derrick rose, steve Nash, rajuan rondo then Westbrook. And as good as he was last year he will be much improved this year. He made a major jump from year 1 til year 2 and I expect another big jump from last year til this year beings he's only played point one year in college because collison got hurt and 2 in the pros and holliday will eventually be 6th on that list but never higher. I will take that!

Collison wont get much playing time if he's not traded. Jrue is much better than Flynn. I think I remember hearing/reading that Udrih is the KIngs PG and Evans is the SG. Wall will probably be better eventually but he will struggle with turnovers, defense, and shooting in his rookie year. Kidd is ancient. So I think he's right outside the top 10 probably 11 or 12. By 2011-2012 he will be top 7 or 8 imo.

I think its funny how most ppl say SL doesnt matter when Turner sucks and Cousins is awesome but when Holiday lights up the SL all of sudden he primed to be a top 10 PG. I think Holiday will be good. I would put him ahead of Jennings and Brooks, but you did forget Curry, Westbrook, Evans, maybe even Wall. So i would put him just outside the top 10 like 12 or 13.

Re: Can Jrue be a top10 pg next year?
I am expecting John Wall to be box office in Washington and I think every point guard in last years draft will be very much improved... Collison, Jennings, Curry, Douglas, Flynn, Jennings, Lawson, and our own Drue Holiday will be much improved players.
1.Derrick Rose
2.Deron Williams
3.Steve Nash
4.Chris Paul
5.Rajon Rondo
6.Tony Parker
7.Andre Miller
8.Jason Kidd
9.Devin Harris
10.Chauncey Billups
My own top 10 rankings of the point guards in the game. It would be hard to see Jrue Holiday crack that upper echelon in only his second year so I go with a no on this topic. I think Jrue Holiday is going to continue to show us a preview of his upside for another season before really taking. With that said I have nill doubts that he is our most improved sixer, and makes a running at most improved player in the NBA.

I could see Jrue Holiday having a slight chance of squeaking into the 10th spot. I can see billups and nash's game fall off next year due to age and aaron brooks should not be on that list. Holiday has the whole package that you would want in a PG except maybe elite athleticism. I think he will really shine under Collins and the sixers will let him take over next year. If he comes close to the impact of andre miller next year, than we will definitely be a playoff team and that should help his case against other PGs.

Just shows how strong the NBA is with PGs. I think Jrue averages around 12-13 with 7-8 assist.

I forgot about steph curry and tyrek evans but at the same time i dont think their natural pgs. And was thinking that billups and nash could fall off, and jennings im not all that sure that hes gonna be better than jrue just yet.

Re: Can Jrue be a top10 pg next year?
Can't tell just yet.. over the past 4-5 seasons there has been roughly 14 decent Pg's that have come out and Jrue is not on that list. Right now if I had to rank him I would put him in the 20-25 range. As Kidd, Billups, Nash, Bibby fall away Jrue will take a spot (hopefully) inm the top 10 season after next.

Gotta Break it down in two parts. Yong and Old.
Old /Young
1. Nash 1. Paul
2. Parker 2. Rose
3. Kidd 3. D. Williams
4. Miller 4. Rondo
5. Billups 5. Westbrook
6. Baron 6. Nelson
7. Calderon 7. D Harris
8. Gilbert(if he returns) 8. Jennings
9. Bibby 9. Flynn
10. 10. Brooks
Not Yet but I got him in top 20 Should be around Curry,Brooks and Flynn he probably would be on the young list if he played more last year.

Damn, you all act like Baron Davis doesn't exist. I know he's injured a lot and plays for the clips now but that guy can still ball.
I don't know if Jrue will be top 10 next year but he has a shot. It all depends on how he steps up his game, how other young pgs step up their game and how much older pgs fall off. I would guess that he'll be around 12 next year and if he is, we should all be psyched.

I don't disagree w you. I got him at # 5 on my ol' head list. I think Jrue is gonna be a problem next year he is smart and a very crafty player with under-ratted athleticsm.
I wouldn't Say it if I thought I was wrong!

He has the tools. He is 6'4. Plays top 5 defense. His offensive skills might be top 12. But he could be in the top 10 in a year or so.

Re: Can Jrue be a top10 pg next year?
Not likely. Still too young. Team not good enough. Wall is going to be better. A healthy Gilbert will be better after he is dealt. Paul, Williams, Billups, Jameer Nelson, Rondo, maybe Jennings, Rose, probably Stuckey, Devin Harris, Nash, maybe Kidd, Andre Miller, Parker and maybe even Hill, Russell Westbrook, maybe Aaron Brooks, Baron Davis, Steph Curry. All those guys will be better for a couple of years. It's a little too early to tell what Holiday's upside is. He certainly has the talent to be an all-star. Maybe even a top 5 PG in the entire league. But not quite yet. It takes either incredible vision and athleticism, neither which he possesses, or a great jump shot and experience.

Not likey..although he will be good
1 CP3
2 Williams
3 Nash -say what you want, but he can still play darn good ball even at his age
4 Rose - getting better
5 Billups - still one of the best leaders on the floor
6 Kidd - see reason number 5
7 Rondo - He's okay, I think the big 3 make him appear a lot better
8 B Diddy - Still got it, although fading quickly I think
9 Parker - injuries are catching up
10 Curry - I think he's better than Harris, andre miller, brooks, stuckey, etc. I think he could easily be top 5 in 2 or 3 years too. Scouts overlooked his feel and his shot waaayyy to much. Perfect example of a player that doesn't have elite athleticism but tears it up.
