Moss to Dallas?!

Post#1 » by thierry » Tue Feb 26, 2008 11:39 pm

FoxSports - Randy Moss and the New England Patriots are not close on a new deal, according to John Czarnecki of FoxSports.

The Patriots believe Moss would give them the opportunity to match any deal he finds on the open market.

One interesting rumor coming from the combine has Moss joining Tony Romo and Terrell Owens in Dallas.

Wow, this would be unreal!

Arguably the best 2 WRs in the league, with arguably the best TE in the league, and a pro bowl QB/RB and 3 pro bowl OLs. This offense would be better than Pats of this year.

Tom Brady is 100x better than Romo so I'm not sure they'd be better than the Pats, but it would be another exciting team to watch.

how does this only have 1 response?

CRAZY if this happens. It'd be a circus, but a great one to watch.

It only got one response because nobody believes its going to happen.
The Cowboys don't have enough cap space to sign him.
They have too many free agents this and next that they need to resign, they ain't getting Moss

its a longshot but its possible if jerry designates the majority of his money towards 2011 when the owners opt out of there deal in 2010, the 2011 year will be uncapped and all hell will break loose on the f/a market and the market will go crazy

there were rumors flying around that they were gonna join up in oakland when randy was there... i kinda hope it does happen for comedic purposes, and to weaken the pats offense

It wont happen. THere have been reports that he will agree to a 3 year contract worth 30-32 million dollars with 12-15 million dollars guaranteed.

like i said earlier, it likely wont happen but jerry is one of the guys pushing for a new CBA you know jerry will spend the money if the 2011 season is uncapped, i wouldnt be surprised if jerry signs a couple big name guys where all there money will be made in the 2011 season

How would this work out? They both want to be the primary WR. One of the reasons why Moss didn't come to Green Bay was that he wasn't going to be the primary WR. They wouldn't get along.

Wes Welker had 112 receptions last year. His TDs would go down a lot (they'll go down no matter what happens) but his catches would be about the same.
