The new Phoenix Sun. He had a part on the hit HBO show, The Wire. Name's "Bubs" Childress.

Re: Suns to Offer Childress Contract
Hey, cheap lock-up of Childress! He's a good player.
27, athletic, good rebounder, reasonable passer, decent shooter, extremely efficient around the rim (garbage points!) and a phenomenal offensive rebounder.
Definitely a good pick-up, especially for a 2012 2nd rounder.

Childress and Warrick gonna be some high-flyers on this team -
I'm really happy with the guys we've added.

Looks like he fixed his dolphin teeth.

Is he really going to wear number 1 here? Too soon?

Lol... yeah you can see the tag in that pic. Its just pulled to the back. They probably put that jersey right back into the Suns store right after.
And finally... He's got human teeth. You'd think with chompers like that his whole life he would have done that with his first paycheck from the NBA.

He will make up the 2nd unit. Should look like this at the beginning:
Start:
Lopez
Hill
Turk
JRich
Nashty
Second Unit:
Frye
Dudley
Dragic
Josh
Warrick
Other guys will get peppered around. Whatever Gentry sticks with will depend on who plays best.

Re: Suns to Offer Childress Contract
Childress wasn't a starter in Atlanta, even in the 55-game season where he was playing 37 mpg. Why would he start now?

I don't know much about JC, except that he's an OK defender and is a playmaker but how did he manage to 57% from the field in his last season with the Hawks? Anyone care to talk about his offensive game?

Childress was good enough to be a starter in Atlanta, but Woodson wanted him as a spark off the bench, instead of starting.
No way Childress starts for us IMO. The bench plays so many minutes that he wont mind anyway.

I think he'll be great off the bench, but he'll probably play 36 mpg anyway, or near to it. Really great garbage man.

From what I remember (and my memory is always hazy) he's more of a top notch role player rather than someone who likes to have the ball in his hands all the time.
He has an awkward albeit accurate jumper so it will feel like Marion has come back to us. Come to think of it his game is pretty similar to Marion's but he's got better bball IQ offensively (will swing the ball pretty well and create a little better). He's a better dribbler too but not fantastic.
He's a decent slasher and pretty good finisher (altho like most skinnier players not great in traffic). He only hit 93 threes in 4 season at Atlanta. He has much better range to about 20 feet. At 23 feet he gets a little inconsistent.
So yeah, Offensively I guess he's kind of like Hill at this point of his career (less of a ball handler/creativity for mine) but he has a bit of Marion's style thanks to that funky jumper. Much like the way Marion's jumper limited him in regards to shooting over opponents (cos he releases the ball around head height) it's a bit similar with JChill. He's better at shooting open or coming off a screen rather then having a fluid pull-up J off the dribble the way Hill does.

+1 on the analysis KJ. and nice sig too.
all i know is, im excited to watch this kid play. The upsides to his game sound good, hopefully he thrives here.
