we should do matchup rotation

for example
against team with only one elite SG/SF players (like Denver), Ariza or Battier will start along with Martin
against team with two elite SG/SF palyers (like Miami), Ariza and Battier will start
against team like Golden State, we should sit Yao
playing all 82 games is overrated
the most important thing is keep everyone healthy for playoffs

I like it. Makes a ton of sense, and I feel like most players on our team would be fine playing in this kind of system... we don't have a ton of egotistical players. Most teams wouldn't be able to do it.

I don't think there's any likelihood of trying it, but... it makes sense.

Other than it being a team concept issue which you already have covered, theres also a chemistry issue that comes with matchup line-ups, we'll be less effective if we're constantly mixing and matching our lineup to the opponents, right now the 1st team is comfortable playing with each other, and the 2nd team does its thing, but yeah i always liked that idea

we now have one the deepest teams in da league and a scary bench. lowry, ariza, budinger, hayes, miller wow

Rockets are really deep, maybe Morey isn't done and will make some trades?

Put luxury tax aside that would definitely be a good signing.

My one fear is that we're too deep. Everybody on the team deserves minutes. I just hope Adleman can figure a way to get satisfy everyone.

I think it's fine since we don't have any premadonnas on our team and some real team players (Battier, Scola, Yao). The only problem I can see is the PG spot. Lowry deserves more than 20-25mins a game and he knows it.

Assets galore, this is a good signing. We can rest Yao, lower his minutes, let him find his game fitness gradually, with no need to rush him back. Come trade deadline time, we will be the first number on every teams list. Morey has done it again. I'm even starting to forgive him for trading Landry.

I like the move, we needed a big and Miller is familiar with Adelman's system. Our roster is pretty much set now

I think that this move is both to add a serviceable center and to use up the MLE to add to the payroll. Can simply take more salary back in talent consolidation trades now...

Lots of money.

I'm sure DMorey has something thoguh with it. Perhaps Yao's condition is worse off than we thought or perhaps there is a trade aligned? Could be both?

Brad Miller on joining the Rockets:"It's my favorite coach [Adelman] I've ever played for. I know [Martin] real well from our Sacramento days. Luis [Scola] had a heck of a year. And I finally get to play with Yao [Ming] instead of guarding his big butt. The team is pretty solid," he said, according to the report.

There is no one in the league (probably with the exception of Bibby) that is familiar on Adelmans' offense. Miller literally knows the offense like the back of his hand.

Considering the fact that Miller and Martin had great chemistry with eachother back in Sacramento, that's a bonus. I like the pick up.

From looking outside as an another fan, Morey has done an excellent job with the Rockets. Accumulating assets while still being competitive is awesome.
