Well they blew the game and now we're going OT. Pretty impressive that they were ahead most of this game but let's face it, we weren't playing against a lot of top summer league players, like missing Collins yesterday. Knicks did have Douglas and Routins. Not a lot else. But good exposure for younger players like Hamadi, Booker, Randle, Martin and Hudson. If we have Wall, we win this game by 20.

The dream of an undefeated summer league season is gone; how will I cope?

Send that woman to FIFA to ref the World Cup. She can't tell a flop from a charge.

Martin belongs on the team, but he should NEVER play guard. His ball-handling skills are non-existent. Hamady played outstanding defense. Booker was very solid all-around. Hudson played well most of the time but got used by Douglas and didn't step up when it counted. Palmer has the skills but just doesn't play with enough energy.

Yep, luckily he won't have to handle the ball hardly at all when he's on the floor with proven players.
In terms of talent evaluation, this was probably the best game overall. Hamady looked good, other than the fact that he has some trouble finishing if it's not a dunk. His D was definitely good. Booker was nice and displayed good range again, he got lost on D numerous times, but he'll figure it out. I could still see him playing 3.

That's the problem with Booker and trading up for him. He'll eventually figure it out but he's an obvious tweener. The energy guy thing is something he'll have to show to get minutes. I watched him play in the ACC and he was a star so I guess it will take time getting used to being a situational guy. Come in for 4-6 minutes, crash the boards and try to defend. Hit an open jumper. Has to know his role.
Martin can shoot. That's about it. But if you make those kind of mistakes late in the game, you won't be in there, even if aren't in there for your ballhandling. Teams will eventually expose your weaknesses.

Watching the game now on MSG on DVR delay.
During an interview with MSG's sideline reporter, Flip Saunders compares Wall's leadership traits at the tender age of 19 to "a young Kevin Garnett." And, as Blatche already knows, any comparison to KG is high praise when coming from Flip.

Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

I dvr'ed the game. As soon as I realized that John Wall and McGee weren't playing, I fast forwarded to the end.

Yeah, I don't feel so bad about missing this one (there was no helping it as it was on at 3 AM here). I'll just allow myself to be surprised by the capabilities of our deep bench when pressed into a feature role.
