Well offensively it's interchangeable with the 3 for the most part, and defensively I think that he isn't quite strong enough to guard those bigger 3's, but at least his some length to bother the quicker 2's.

At least if it were me, I'd definitely be using him as a 2.

That is the second player who left that Deron Williams was not pleased about...you had better be careful Utah or you might lose DWill as well.

Perhaps later in the year we can help you with a move like a Corey Maggette and Redd's expiring insurance laden contract for Kirilenko and a filler?

We'll see?

Paying Matthews 7 million a season is stupidity of epic proportions.

Signing him to 10 million dollars a year is over paying, but STILL wouldn't affect ANYTHING other than Paul Allen's pocketbook. Portland wouldn't have had cap space regardless of who they signed this off season due to Roy and Aldridge's extensions, plus the impending Oden and Batum extensions. So if you have an owner who's willing to pay full MLE, and you're trying to pry him from a team who isn't willing to match full MLE, explain how that is stupid. Overpaying for what he adds to the team? Yes. Stupidity of epic proportions? No. The only thing stupid is the post after post calling it stupid when they don't fully grasp what it all means.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Farzi... we have heard it multiple times from you now... We get it Paul Allen is rich and money means nothing to him. It may not be stupid for him to pay that amount but it is stupid for the Jazz to do so.

Kind of getting tired of you and your Jazz hating ways here and on the general board.

He has the speed and ability. Teams will have to adjust to HIM.

I don't hate anyone in the league dude. Just because I don't agree with something someone says and then state my case against it doesn't mean I'm out to get the Jazz or their fans. Come on...

I'm not trying to rub Paul Allen's money in your nose. Far from it. I don't see a cent of it, and get no personal satisfaction comparing our favorite team's owner's offshore bank account totals. I was explaining why they made the move they did, the logic behind it, and why simply saying LOL OVERPAID THIEVES BULLIES etc. is just a dumb thing to say.

If that is true, the Jazz are set. Probably for the next decade.

I'm drooling at the idea of Hayward being fast and atheletic enough to guard the SG position, I just don't know that I believe it. Those are some hard covers. I'm worried guys will just blow past him.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."
