New Jersey has to rebuild around Lopez. They get the Raptors' pick and Miami's pick along with Calderon. Who plays well with big men who set hard screens for him.

Toronto Out:
Kleiza + Bosh TPE + Evans + Banks

Dallas Out:
Butler + Chandler

Dallas gets 9.7 million in expirings (evans and banks) + Bosh's TPE to play with to acquire some pieces. Also they get Kleiza is more skilled offensively than Marion and should be a very good 6th man for the Mavs.

And Toronto becomes a play off team that knows how to play defense.

+1 this roster is rebuilding. It does not need to throw away its future assets (Picks) and end up with no leader. There is no leader in that line-up especially not Harris who led his team to a record I don't want to say. Then how is the 6'9 strength-lacking Ed Davis a Center?

Xavier Henry is not happy with Memphis and Memphis is not happy with him. Memphis is rumored to have liked Hedo and Jose.

Jose + Our first round pick

Xavier Henry + Mike Conley

Jack/Barbosa
DD/Henry
Kleiza/Weems
Amir/Davis
Bargnani/Alabi

And, a TPE.

If we're trading Jack for a PG, I hope its Conley. Fits the uptempo style we're trying to play, and he's young. If we're giving up Calderon and picks for a PG, Hnrich or Harris would definitely be great choices.

I like the idea of Jose to Mem for Henry, cause I think you could sell them on the idea of a character guy like Jose and would have chemistry with Gasol but no way should the Raps be trading their own pick unless its lottery protected for the next 5 years.

Jose + Mia pick should get it done

Memphis fans like the idea of Jack for Conley, but Conley and Xavier for Calderon would be widely in our favor. We get the youth, better contracts, and arguably much more talent. Besides, Conley is a great fit with the offense we're trying to run. Considering Xavier was a lottery pick this year, I think giving them our pick would be ok as long as its top 6 protected. That way we're probably not giving up a franchise player if we suck, but Memphis can still get a good draft pick and make up for the pick they probably wish they could take back. And if $$ really is the issue, hard to imagine them taking Calderon without the picks. I would imagine that they would would Miami's pick and our pick (with some protection).

good points but I think a back up or even starting 5 is the Raps biggest need at this point so to make a deal which included their 1st without addressing that wouldn't be what I'd do. Having a young PG in place of Jose would be great and I think Conley is a great fit and maybe a bit undervalued right now. Adding a shooter and physical one at that in Henry would be great but we have a lot of youth on the wing right now too.

I'd be very hesitant to move the 1st without it bringing back a 5

I guess I'm just fine with Bargs, Amir, Ed Davis, and Dorsey for now. Especially since Kleiza will play some PF.

With Ed Davis and Amir getting significant minutes, Weems and Kleiza taking Hedo's spot, and Calderon gone for Conley, I think our team defense would be improved enough to warrant waiting to get more center help.

I think getting a solid young core in place while maxing our financial flexibility is more important. With the better contracts and trade exception, trading for a center should be more than possible too. I just don't see the rush to add a center. The extra trade flexibility might even improve our chances. If it doesn't, the added flexibility makes it easier for Bryan to spend for one next summer.

i wonder if MEM does this. Id pray they would. Salaries match up, even after Joses trade kicker MEM only takes like 200,000 which Toronto could send.

To MEM: Calderon + MIA 2011 1st Round Pick + 200,000 Cash
To TOR: Conley + Thabeet

Hasheem Thabeet $4,793,280
Mike Conley $4,913,007
= 9,706,287

for

Jose Calderon $9,000,000
+ Trade Kicker = 9,900,000

it solves everything for us, gives us a PG to grow with, gives us a young C that doesnt need major minutes.

Calderon might keep Gasol in MEM next year. Good connection and friends so it might be a swaying point so they dont lose Marc.

Conley / Jack / Banks
Derozan / Barbosa / Belinelli
Klezia / Weems
Davis / Johnson / Dorsey
Bargnani / Thabeet / Alabi

* id hopefully try to do Evans + 3 million cash for a TE or cut him so Dorsey can be on the team.

Young, up and down team with a ton of potential. Shot blocking, defense, everything.

Calderon
Mayo
Gay
Randolph
Gasol

is a team i think can do something, Calderon is the perfect fit next to Mayo, he can shoot the 3 MUCH better than Conley and is a pass first PG.

I don't Memphis does it, both conley and thabeet expire next year and they need the money for their key FAs coming off the books next year in Mayo, Zbo and Gasol.

I like it Rapsobsessed7. I don't understand why the Grizzlies seem to want to move Conley as much as they do, but I've heard his name come up in a few rumours. He's still only 22 turning 23. I'd love to give Conley a chance to start here. At worse he's a good back up (seems pretty likely he's not a long term starter).

Are the Grizzlies ready to give up on Thabeet though? If you didn't know where he was drafted you'd assume he was late first round project. And they have Marc Gasol so at best Thabeet is the back up. I'd like to see what he can do on a young team like this. He can block shots at any level, but he's a foul machine and hasn't shown at offensive ability since leaving UCONN.

I'd throw in Alabi if they wanted another 7 foot project to play garbage time.

Calderon / Mayo / Vasquez
Mayo / Henry / Allen
Gay / Young
Randolph / Arthur / Carroll
M. Gasol / Haddadi

Looks like a nice team. I think it makes the playoffs.

Thabeet has a team option and Conley is a restricted FA so if you factor in an extension for him then it saves them money + i think Jose keeps Gasol there. I think he would bolt otherwise

I was looking at a 3way earlier with Port

Port gets: Conley, Beli and Thabeet. Was thinking Conley would be an interesting option with the Oden connection.

Mem gets: Jose, Rudy Fernandez, Jones, and Miami pick

TO gets: Bayless, Pryzbilla, and Henry

Only thing I was thinking is that they could just cut TO out and thats a pretty decent trade between the two of them. Unless the Spanish angle thing is realistic.

It might be to much in TO's favour so Henry could go to Port and Raps just keep Beli

Watching summer league I really like the potential of Mcgee from Washington, I don't think i've ever seen a more athletic 7 footer in my life, just crazy hops.... I think he would look sick with the young guns in a run n gun offense...

Wonder if they would toss him in an arenas trade
