I think Id have to go with Ariza and Battier, next year there D is going to be looking even better with Yao Ming back also.

I go with the Lakers. Most others are not really well known as a duo of defense.

Its not horrible, just not elite. Wade man to man is probably better than Kobe and Lebron. I think Wade is better defender than both Lebron and Kobe over all. Agian all three do not play consistantly thru out a game.

Absolutely false. If you watched the last Olympics you saw that Kobe always guarded the other team's best wing player. LeBron and Wade got some highlight steals and blocks because, as was mentioned above, they're both good help defenders. But of the three Kobe is clearly the only one capable of playing lock down man to man defense. Is he as good as he was five years ago? No, but he is still much much better on man to man D than Wade or LeBron are or will ever be.

Anybody saying Wade is a great man to man defender is either a homer and sees no wrong in him or mentally (Please Use More Appropriate Word). I say Ron is a way way better defender than Wade or LeBron, he's stronger than both knows how to use his body and actually thinks defense first.

TV media will make you think LeBron and Wade are shut down defenders because of how they use highlights. Of the 4 Ron is the more superior, he's the QB of our defense hands down.

i wouldnt trust ariza and battier to guard both lebron and wade...

don't get me wrong, they're both great, but battier can't guard lebron, and ariza's man defense isn't great either

motivated kobe/artest for me

It's KB - Artest.

Kobe is the best on ball defender in the game and has been for some time. Artest isn't quite as good as he was ~5 years ago, but he has a big, strong body and he just frustrates people.

Anyone who says Wade/Queen can be ignored from now on when posting about basketball.

Roy and Matthews? You can add Nicolas Batum in there wherever as well. Kobe knows who they are :)
