Likelihood of getting Tomic soon?

Post#1 » by Ming Kong! » Mon Jul 19, 2010 6:25 am

Been hearing nothing but great things, even comparisons to Pau Gasol. If he really has this much potential in the NBA, we have to buy him out. The earliest we could buy him out is next season, and with AK's huge contract coming off the books, we can afford him for sure, and still resign AK.

Okur/Tomic/Fesenko
Jefferson/Millsap/Evans
Kirilenko/Hayward
Miles/Bell
Williams/Price

On top of whatever else we add. If Tomic was the real deal we could even start him and check see what kind of trade we can do for a SG/SF upgrade, maybe a Richard Hamilton, his contract would be coming to an end by then.

I say we put him and Fes in a cage and let them fight to the death.

Fes has brute strength, but Tomic has speed.

Rumble in the Jungle 2.0 anyone?

Last I heard, the soonest possible would be Summer 2011 if both sides agree to it.

I'm not as excited about him since Al Jefferson already dominates the low post. But hey, a talented big is always a good thing.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Tomic has the ability to spread the floor and handle the ball which is why he would fit in so nicely with Jefferson.

From the videos i have watched. He seems pretty smooth. He also can bang down low for someone as skinny as him

The only thing Tomic has in common with Gasol is they are both White.

I've watched some of Tomic's games and they have much more in common than just general skin tone.

I think Lava Rock Kid must have found out his girlfriend was cheating on him recently.

He is now the best center in Europe after the departure of Splitter to the NBA (and I think he was better than Splitter anyway).

Does Tomic have a good 10-15 ft jump shot like my boy Gasol?

Look at this video, he's got skills...... But he needs to add a lot of muscle to play effectively in the NBA....

I'm sure Locke posts in here, which username I don't know, but I'm sure he steals some posts.

Color me unimpressed with that video. I don't see this guy translating that well to the NBA. Hope I'm wrong, but it wasn't very good. I don't know if they intentionally left out the rebounding in that game, but he was hardly ever in place to grab a board. I dunno, It is euro ball, so it's definitely different, but I am not as optimistic about some of you folks.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...
