Q&A
This portion is for future questions and issues that will arise. Soon, a gray area will arise and need to be resolved. Commish will have the right to exercise judgment on what is good for the league. Suggestions/recommendations will be duly heard from all franchise owners.

How are we dealing with trades contingent on previous deals? Is there a waiting period to post, or only for the commissioner's approval?

I dont see significant reason for putting waiting period as done in previous GM A Team game. Posting of deals involving players acquired on not yet approved deals is allowed but will only be in effect after commish approval of both trades involving the player.


Lastly, everyone will have to wait until August 1 for the formal start of the trading period.

We trade in players with questionable production for one of the better shooters/scorers in the league who is still relatively young and we are confident will be back to form healthy and with a defined role as a starter. Wing scoring is something the T'Wolves are in desperate need of and not much long term salary is added since we're trading away some of our more expensive roleplayers (who wont fit into long-term plans regardless). Not to mention it opens up more money for 2011 free agency.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that this is up so we can post trades we have agreed to but they will not be approved until the first. This might get a bit flooded, but all of these trades would have been posted the first day anyway.

The New Orleans Hornets have sent out a Press Release:

New Orleans will be sending local favourite Darren Collison, along with Julian Wright, to the LA Clippers, in return for Eric Gordon.

It is a sad day to see Darren leave, he filled the boots of Chris Paul admirably last season, and has huge upside, however we are committed to building a team around Chris Paul, and bringing in a long-term partner in Eric Gordon gives Chris great scoring help in the backcourt. We are excited to see what they can achieve together.

Gasol will back up Bynum giving me a sickning center combo, and were not sure what Gay will be on this team yet, but we like his youth, just not so much his contract. Good dealing B.I. and good luck building around Kobe now. We wish Kobe the best of luck in Memphis and Blake, sorry you didn't win a ring with LAL, which would have happened! ; )

Cleveland accepts. Mbah a Moute is a great defender and a hustle player. With the right players around him he could be a good part of my core - now it just comes down to getting some shooters and a primary scorer.

Also I think that Dolonte is a cancer and one of the main reasons James left Cleveland. I wanted him gone even though he is a good player, and getting some value in return was just icing on the cake.

Confirmed. We morgage our future for a shot to build a contender around a top 2 player in the league. We may shed salary and look to add a max FA in 2011. LA took Pau from us a few years ago, and now they get his brother. We'll take Kobe.

Both have been important pieces in our recent success, but all of we felt that it was time to go a different different.

Salaries are only 28k different. They match.

Rationale: We wouldn't have traded all-star guard Jameer Nelson without a plan in place to bring in a replacement. What we have gotten is more than that. Arenas, a 3-time allstar and all-NBA player, will bring necessary starpower to the Magic. The Eastern Conference became much more difficult through free agency this summer. We feel that a team with Arenas at the point, Wallace on the wing, and Howard in the middle is good enough to contend with anyone in the league. For those with questions about Arenas' health or demeanor, we will say this and only this:

Arenas is healthy. He has had no troubles with his knee in over a year. His workload will be down from what it was in Washington, so you will see a rejuvenated and fresh Gilbert Arenas. As per his suspension: at least he wasn't running an illegal dog-fighting circuit.

The Milwaukee Bucks accept the deal. We were not happy with the contracts given by the previous regime to Salmons, Gooden, and Maggette. These three deals simply were not going to be easy to trade.

While I understand I have added a lot of longterm salary to my team, I feel like these pieces I am acquiring will help me contend. If you look at the team last year that took a talented Atlanta Hawks team to 7 games in the playoffs, this team is already much more talented. We feel that by moving Lewis back to the SF, we will be able to better utilize his skillset than when he played at PF. Lewis is also another big, long SF that will help create space in the paint for Bogut.

We are also very intrigued by the potential of Daniel Orton. Even though he did not get many opportunities to prove his worth as a freshman at Kentucky, we feel he has the potential to grow into a very dependable backup at either the PF or C positions.

So what I've concluded, is that for the LA trade to work, either Mike Conley, Zac Randolph, or Hasheem Thabeet need to be added, and unless it's ZBo, Blake needs to be subtracted. The issue isn't too much salary out for Memphis (like is normal with BYC), it's that because his value is only 6.8 mil to them, they don't have enough to send out.
