i was waiting for someone to propose a mcgrady trade

i dunno why we need to change our team for anything other than a big, the trade is interesting, but im not 100% sure its good for our team chemistry

but any chance to get a player like tmac you must look at

i guess we wouldnt go past the first round then ;-)

OK that is NOWHERE NEAR workable salary wise...

To get TMac we're essentially going to have to give up either Marion + filler, or Barbosa+Diaw+Banks+Bell...

I'm fairly unimpressed with McGrady. He's so good, he has to be one of your main team leaders, but he's never been good enough in that role to lead his team anywhere. In a lot of ways, I'd rather have a guy like Barbosa or Bell, who isn't nearly as good, but can ably fill the role of a supporting guy.

TMac>Barbosa and Bell

The guy can handle the ball, loves the big game (just not for the whole series) and when he has the mindset can defend anyone from the 1-4 spot...he'd help against SA and DAL...BUT not if we have to give Marion up.
Might need another team to get involved, but I dont see how we could have

Amare
Marion
Hill
TMac
Nash

Either Amare, Nash or Marion would have to go, so no thanks.

Its one thing when people propose silly trade ideas to start threads. Its another when theyre finanically not possible.

Tracy McInjured would do nothing but slow down our offense...when he can actually play. He is a half court player who mopes more than smiles and has yet to lead his team out of the first round.

FYI if he;s ever gonna be traded , one thing's for sure u're the last team he'd go to..
Tmac is not happy with adelman's running style due to his reccuring injuries.

TMac back to Orlando for Rashard

He can't sell his house there and hates the commute

lets not forget that everything in bold was said about grant hill too

if we could get tmac for bell barbs and cap filler, i would do it in a heartbeat

fact is tmac is an elite talent in the league, and i would LOVE to have him on this team

i just never see houston doing it without us including marion, which i would then be hesitant to do

a package around barbs bell diaw etc i would look at for sure

I just don't see what T-Mac(or T-Pain as another poster so eloquently put it) does for us. If he can accept playing the role that Q played for us, then sure, but we lose a lot of what little depth we have in a 3 for 1 trade. I mean, even if a Barbs/Diaw/Bell package was put together, what kind of rotation would we play?

Nash
T-Pain
Hill
Marion
Amare

Banks
Strawberry
Tucker/Pike
Marks
Skinner

Are you kidding me? I'm all for giving the rookies playing time, but if 25% of your 8 man rotation=rookies, then you're kinda screwed.

No.

This wasn't bump worthy, just post in the offseason thread.

you're right though, he would be a terrible fit and a cancer to our team. Screw T-pain we don't need 'em.
