Trading your expiring contracts are only smart if your player is only mediocre and has a large contract. (i.e Raef LaFrentz) And j-Rich is definatly NOT mediocre.

I'm hoping the Suns resign JRich, the guys just fits our system. The only way I see us trading him is if we get an equal or greater player at his position.

for josh smith in a heartbeat

as much as i love duds that would be too good for the franchise not to

nash/dragic
hill/childress
hedo/childress
smith/warrick
lopez/frye

is a darkhorse contender

Atlanta hangs up the phone.

We'll have money to spend in 2012, lets go after Horford. He can move back to his natural PF position. AL + RoLo = Paint Dominance

As an Amare fan, I have followed a bit discussion on the Knicks board after his signing there. Personally, I believe JRich would be great next to Amare. The run of the Suns last season coincided with rejuvination of both JRich and Amare while Nash was forced to reduce ball-dribbling due to nagging injury and fatigue. With Amare setting screen, JRich's rolls into paint is unstoppable due to his athletism.

But NY may not have enough to trade for JRich. Curry would be pure salary saving for 3 mil, plus 3mil NY would give us. And NY might be holding out for Paul or Parker with Curry's contract anyway. We will see how JRich fares in the new season without Amare. Maybe he could return to a dominant scorer he used to be in GS and might fetch more return around the deadline when the team were going nowhere.

The Knicks do not have anyone we would want, so why would be deal with them?

Did the Knick board seduce you into doing a favor for them?? wtf

Millsap.

Seems so simple...UTA need a better SG who can space the floor

Millsap's a banger who has a decent contract and is a class act

We should take all the money we have in 2012 and sign Al Hortford to a contract. It would allow the Suns to get even for the time that the HAwks offered Joe Johnson a ridiculous contract .

Millsap would be perfect for us. Young, plays d, efficient scorer, and rebounds. I would do it in a heart beat

Millsap doesnt run the picknroll, has no range, and cant guard the taller PFs which are inspiring us to search for PFs in the first place.

I dont think utah will let milsap go anywhere. I think the suns need to be more pt something will come up. having a GM would prolly help their cause.

I think if we added Earl Clark as well we might get their attention. Still not sure that would be a big enough enticement ... i just get the impression that Smith is wearing out his welcome there and that he hasn't developed like they thought/hoped which is frustrating them.

I would love Horford but by then no Nash, or at least a very old Nash ... would rather make moves now.
