Hammer has a skillset that compensates for his physical limitations. He also plays hard and doesn't try to do things that he can't.

Ammo ... I keep wanting to type Amoo ... is exactly the reverse. He has a skillset that would work great if he were only more athletic. He keeps trying to do things that he can't and you can't count on him to play hard every game.

So, Hammer.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I love that the Hammer is smoking Ammo in this pole.

Morrison, the main reason I´m a Bobcats supporter...I´d love that some team could give him an opportunity to show that he is better than most of the NBA thinks.

Hammer wasn't lighting it up when he left though. His ft shooting had taken that big hit, he just landed that fat contract and his PT had been sliced.

I more think it's funny that LB put Hammer on the shelf when he was here 1st time around to make room for Ammo - a guy we all agree has less value than the Hammer. Sort of tells me we should have retained Hammer over Ammo all along.

It just continues to make a mockery of that pick.

Never forget.

"and when I get to the NBA more people will cry."

Yeah, Bobcats fans, management, coaches and players, and his agent.

How true, how true. Honestly, this is easy for me. No way I can pick Ammo over Hammer. Ever.

For me -

Ammo: I can't think how return to Charlotte would help his confidence. Bréken confidence can be worse injury than torn ACL. I wish him luck, I just can't see him succeed with Bobcats. Also he is not as pure spot up shooter as Hammer is.

Hammer: Stupid contract aside, with our current lack of shooters, his 3pt range and catch and shoot style could be good to have at times. In addition his FT% used to be pretty good. So I can see how we can utilise him for special purposes even as a 12th man from the bench. Don't get me wrong if there is taker for him, as I am concerned he ison the block.

never forget this ;)

shooter!

2:02-2:08 in that vid is so sexy. I have a thing for great footwork, and my lord did Ammo work that kid.

There's no denying the guy was a fantastic college ball player. He was great because he had so much confidence and would just take it to you until you gave up because he wasn't going to. I remember watching him and JJ go back and forth for the scoring title and watched some of his games in flat out amazement. He was that good.

He actually also had a pretty solid rookie year, didn't shoot a very high % but 12/3/2 was solid production. Had he been given the opportunity (his knee's fault, not the Cats) to be built around as the franchise grew up, I have no doubt that he'd be a pretty good 15/4/3 player--nothing to sneeze at. The problem was that his knee decided it didn't feel like playing anymore and just tore to pieces. (against the Lakers of all teams, kind of ironic that he ruined his career against an LA team and ended up moving there and winning two rings... while Livingston ruined his career against us and just signed.........before winning two rings?) He wasn't ever able to regain that confidence that made him a true NBA player and just fizzled out.

So yeah, he's a bust, and he deserves the ire he gets. But I can't help but feel a little sorry for the kid because he could've been a much better player than what he is currently. Hopefully he's go overseas and dominate some lesser talent for a year and pull himself together before coming back over like a new man.

After all of that.................. HAMMER FOR THE WIN BABY!! Can't wait til they pass out plastic hammers for us to smack each other with as we watch him pick his fingernails on the bench all year! woo hoo

Even though I'm a Hammer supporter and glad he's back, I'm going to go out on a limb and say I would be willing to bet that Ammo puts up better numbers next season esp. if he gets picked up by the wizards. Nobody has had the chance to see him play after working out with Kobe and Artest and I think he may surprise people next season.
