At some point defense needs to be a priority from the point guard position. I see so many players referred to as the "perfect triangle PG", but never see any attention on defense. Calderon will not provide any defense what-so-ever. There's a reason why the 35-year-old Fisher still has a starting point guard job on the Lakers, and it's not because he can shoot well.

Never said he was a good defender, but he is better than the rumored players that have been linked to the Lakers. Most of Fisher's defense doesn't show up in the stat column.

That's because we already have two PG's on this team. We need a swingman to back up Kobe and Artest, and a backup big. Calderon is not needed here anymore.

He had a bad seasson because of injuries but he´s healthy now. You underrated him a lot guys
Blake is crap. A 50-40-90 % shooter with the best ASS/TO ratio in the league would be a really good addition. and He is a very good friend of Pau, a great teammate, smart, leader and the starter PG of the Spanish national team so He knows how to play important games.
His defense is not his best skill but he is not as terrible as you say. Raptors is just a bad defender team...its not all his fault..See Boshhhhh...
He plays european style (take care of ball and team play)...That, in a bad team like toronto make him look worst because he dont care about put numbers...but in a good team like the lakers and playing close to Kobe He can be as good and decisive as Rondo is...

PD 2: I know im spaniard and maybe im not objetive but its because of this that I know him since he was young and i know how good he is and all the things he could do...

Since you sound like you've followed him pretty closely over his career, why do you suggest he's the perfect triangle point guard? Besides his Assist/TO ratio. It's not like Fisher turns the ball over much at all either. It seems Calderon's style of play would be better on a fast paced team like the Warriors and Knicks.

Being rude isn´t necessary.
With Ring or not Steve Blake is one of the worst PG in the league, Period.
And Jose is one thing Blake will never be....

he doesn't but he still better then Calderon, you think Calderon could've slowed down Dwill the way Fish did? Dwill would tourched us like he did Den. ALso Jose #'s has DECLINED overall the past 3 yrs, when excatly is he gona get healthy? Guy got beat out by someone who makes half his salary, that says alot bout the confidence coaching staff had in him. Its like how Brown got more PT then Sasha even though Brown barely makes half of Sasha, there's a good reason for that, cause Sasha and Jose SUCK!

trade wont happen cause Jose sucks and his contract is atrocious, when Jordan whos credability is suspect when it comes to talent evaluation has the nerve to backout of the deal that involved Jose that says alot , especially considering Cha only had a pretty below avg. Pg at the time in DJ Augstine
