Which Maple Leafs have you had the privilege of meeting?

I know this is probably not new thread worthy but me and my buddy just ran into Curtis Joseph a few hours ago at the most random ass panini place in Thornhill! LOL. Maybe I am a little too overexcited and star struck but you have to understand that as someone who grew up watching him play and idolized him (I played goaltender as a kid) it was something really unexpected but AWESOME! He was there with someone i presume to be his gf ( i think he got divorced a few years ago) and he seemed like a really nice down to earth guy. We approached him as he was getting in to his car and all I wanted to know was if he was who I thought he was but after affirming my suspicion he was nice enough to offer autographs! We shook hands, talked for a few minutes (he was on his way so we didnt really want to hold him up) but all i could really mumble out was that he was the greatest goaltender to ever live! LOL As he was leaving he was super cool, honked, waved to us and I am glad my good impression of him as a child (that he was a sick goalie) was kept in tact after I met him. Too bad neither me nor my buddy had our phones on us to take a pic but it was something I will never forget. So my question to you, my fellow realgmers is, who have you had the privilege of meeting from the maple leafs? Maybe care to share similar stories since free agency is a little slow right now?

Joseph is a VERY nice guy. very quiet and is very humble.

that's awesome yogi, i wish i could have met any of those guys, even jonas hoglund?? the only other maple leaf i have met was Wade Belak LOL. he was at a quizno's at yonge and eg while the rest of the leafs were in philly that night playing a playoff game AHAHAHAH

I met Domi and he was really nice and accommodating. Gilmour is just about the nicest person ever, however.

I've had the privilege to meet a few Leafs here and there:

I saw Felix Potvin, Yannick Tremblay(?), and Jason Smith at the Opera House just after Joseph was signed and when everyone was hating the Cat..I asked if he was Felix Potvin and he said yeah but not to tell anyone...thought that was pretty funny at the time

My family used to go to the Conn Smythe Easter Seals dinners and there were always a ton of Leafs there...the one year I met Gilmour, Clark and Burns, that was my pretty awesome.

I myself have had the priviledge(or lack there) of meeting Tie Domi, as a child he was my favourite leaf, but when i went to my fathers co workers house i saw him getting his hair cut, i ran up as quick as i possibly could went to shake his hand, told him my idol and he replied.......Who the **** are you, get out of my face......so in a nut shell Tie Domi is quite possibly the biggest..*insert explicative here* that i have met.......

I've had a few chances to meet Maple Leafs in person over the past 30-40 years but the most enjoyable was during the 1980-81 playoffs. The Leafs had finished 16th and the Islanders 1st, so they hooked up for a 1st round playoff tilt. It just so happens that Mike McEwen (of the Islanders) had married into our family, so after the game I got a chance to go back into both of the dressing rooms and meet alot of the Leafs and NY Islander greats. It was an evening I'll never forget, even though the Leafs lost the series 3-0.

It was in square one in Mississauga. I don't think they were shipping there, just walking through. They had just finished an autograph signing in the mall somewhere. Really nice guys.

When I was a kid I met Dmitri Yushkevich, Alexander Karpotsev, Danny Markov, Igor Korolev, and Sergei Berezin in a sushi restaurant downtown, after one of their games. My dad got them to sign the back of one of those little cards that shows all the different types of sushi, with a giant glass of Asahi on the side. I still have it to this day, a very fond memory of mine.

The only active leaf I ever met was Doug Gilmour at a restaurant. I was embarassed to ask him for an autograph but he was glad to provide it... When I was in highschool, they staged a Leafs prospects vs. Sens prospects game close to my town and just walking the halls, I got a few former Leafs (and other teams) players. The most notable were Borje Salming and George Ferguson.

Other players I've met:
-Adam Graves who was injured and hanging out in the lobby at Maple Leaf Gardens.
-Vitali Yachmenev who was golfing with his soon to be father-in-law on my home course.
-Darren Turcotte in the parking lot of a Dairy Queen.
-Jocelyn Thibault and Dan Cloutier (Cloutier was going out with my sister's friend at the time).
-Chris Neil at a party in my hometown (back in his OHL days). He got in a fight with a native dude who proceeded to destroy him.
-Brett Lindros who was signing autographs before an OHL game as a visiting player (exact opposite of what you'd expect from the brother of a guy, who at the time, was villified by the media).
-Mo Mantha who lives on my local golf course (his parents own it).

Met schenn at a bar...he was banging this girl in my marketing class. Met domi at a ball hockey tourny in the ontario food terminal as a kid--total jackass. but, i didn't mind because i figured hey, tie domi is the leafs tough guy, he gets to be a jackass. met sitler a bunch of times as a kid--and johnny bower. those guys would do paid appearances at any new business opening in richmond hill during the nineties.

i have a random, totally unrelated story. but i was playing ball hockey with some fellas in the 905 on a residential road. mike cammaleri's family lives around the area, i had heard. anyway, this suv rolls up one day and its mike **** cammaleri and he played ball hockey with us!!! cool dude.

Haha, my friend lived in the same hood as Peter Sidorkiewicz and when they were younger I guess Sid would have no problem strapping on the pads and playing net for them!
