It's been known for quite some time that Rudy Fernandez isn't a happy camper in Portland.

And the Blazers appear to be working on his ticket out of town.

Tweets Brian T. Smith of the Columbian on Wednesday afternoon: "Blazers are actively pursuing trade for Fernandez. Team is willing to keep Fernandez, though, and will not give him away for 'free.'"

The Kings are looking for guards with a penchant for shooting, so that could be a possible landing spot for Fernandez.

One other team that makes sense? The Hornets.

ESPN's John Hollinger has the reasons why:

I think he listed Boston as a team he would go to. I just can't see anything that makes sense for Portland. Outside of essentially giving him away. Adding in Joel and Sheed does nothing for Portland really, and the only salary close is Bradley.

I understand Rudys frustration. He was a star in Europe and now in Portland hes a mediocre role player. At the same time he could of handled this situation much better instead of giving answers like "I have a contract with Portland".

Im Spaniard but he is an as*hole and a f*cking diva... I cant stand him. Sure he is good, more than some of you think, and if he is traded to another NBA team that gives him the chance to play, he will show everyone that he is good, really good, but he is a professional player, he must STFU and wait like every other player in the NBA.

I love it. But doubt it happens. If Paul is demanding a trade, why trade your PG of the future?

Man, how fast time goes by. Not so long ago Rudy was the best player ever, now everybody wants to kill him.

Such is life with Portland fans. If we keep him and he has a halfway decent season with no whining, he'll be back on top.

Just wondering what you guys do think your front office would want for him. I'd love to try him on the Bulls.

The coach of the Spanish national team, Sergio Scariolo, admitted to a Greek website that Rudy Fernández wants to leave the NBA and play in Europe next season, despite the interest of several American teams like the New York Knicks. The 25-year-old Spanish guard is unhappy in the Portland Trail Blazers, and is considering several offers from Spanish and Greek teams to go back to the European basketball. According to Scariolo, Panathinaikos would have similar chances as Real Madrid or Regal Barcelona to sign Fernández, who has also a list of five NBA teams (Knicks, Nets, Bulls, Heat and Celtics) where he would like to be traded.

Knicks: Fernandez for Chandler
Nets: Fernandez for Morrow
Bulls: Fernandez + Pendergraph for Gibson
Heat: Fernandez for ???
Celtics: Fernandez for ???

Wouldnt be Morow for the Nets. You are over the cap...Morrow makes too much...wouldnt work...and he just signed...so he cant be dealt until December 15th.

But I would offer Courtney Lee for Rudy. Makes within 100K...good prospect.

I added my signature about 3 games before the blazers season was over. At the time everyone thought I was crazy. Now it seems almost everyone wants rudy's head on a platter.

Rudy has has a really bad offseason...

Another C's fan here. I don't think we'd give up a first for Rudy but if Pryzbilla was included we might (or I would anyhow). Sheed / cash (for the buyout) / 2011 1st for Pryz / Rudy. Thoughts? Also I saw Rudy missed about 20 games last season. Was happened and are there any lingering concerns?

OT and not pertaining to my C's but as a general NBA fan whats going on with your pg situation? I've seen Bayless play a few times and he has potential. Do you view him as your future pg or are you gonna try and bring back Andre. Thanks.
