Chris Paul allegedly trying to force a trade.

But don't get too excited; according to the article, he's insisting on going to the Magic, the Lakers, or the knicks. Don't ask me what any of those teams could possibly offer, but that's what the author claims.

I think this is all you need to know about this article:

"He wants out," said the person, who has been briefed on Paul's strategy but spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss it publicly

Great. Another star who things he can strong-arm his team into trading him where he wants to go. I'm so tired of that kind of BS. Hopefully the Hornets don't do what he wants. They'll tell him: "You signed the contract. Either you play for us, or we'll trade you to where WE want you to go."

The idea that Paul would brief people on his "strategy" is ridiculous. If he wanted to be traded he would just say so.

Well, I could see him trying to keep it quiet if he wanted to be traded so he wouldn't look like a douche, but ultimately that would probably be a lost cause. I still don't put a lot of stock in this report either way.

Just for kicks I'd offer a package that centers around Flynn/Brewer/Love or maybe Rubio instead of Flynn if that's what it takes. Then trade the other left over PG for the best SG we can find.

PG: CP3
SG: Webster(or other SG?)
SF: Wes
PF: Beasley
C: Darko

Paul would have a blast with these guys..I don't think we could convince him to come though. Maybe if we let Kahn talk to him....that guy can kahn anyone.

we should just have a team of the eastern all stars based in New york and western all stars based in LA and disband all other teams and players. I'm tired of watching good players not get to play with an entire team of other superstars and not get a 50/50 shot at a title each and every season, its not fair for them.

Well, just for pie in the sky craziness sake;

PG: CP3
SG: Wes
SF: Melo
PF: Love
C: Darko
6th man: Beasley

If we move;
Webster
Brewer
Ellington
Rubio
Flynn
Sessions
Hollins
Kosta
and cut Steisma

We actually have enough cap to absorb Carmelo and Chris Paul.
700k under the cap after the trades. :)

Flynn/(Rubio if no other option) + TPE + 2 first rounders from Jefferson Trade
APkrawczynski Jon Krawczynski
Durant just said Darko is one of best centers in the league. For once, I'm not being sarcastic in a tweet. #Twolves

He won't come to Minnesota. That's for sure.

Krapinsky probably should have read a little further. The article states that he won't risk a fine from the league by going public with his demands.

Sure he would, if we get Melo.
He'd have Melo, Wes, Love and Beas to play with. That's very attractive, I doubt they care which city the team is in, they will get their media exposure...

Getting CP3 wouldn't be hard, he has 2 years left on his deal, and no choice in the matter. New Orleans is for sale. We offer Rubio to New Orleans, they save 14.9 million in salary, and have a potential star next year. It will make the team more attractive to the future buyer.

The trick is getting Melo from Denver.

You can't be fined for requesting a trade.

It's kind of odd, but it actually works if;
1) we move Sessions and Kosta to Cleveland for West then cut him.
2) trade Rubio+picks to New Orleans for Chris Paul.
3) trade Webster, Flynn, Brewer, Hollins to Denver for Carmelo.
We'd have to wait until we were eligible to move Webster, but it works salary wise.

PG: Chris Paul / Ridnour
SG: Wes Johnson / Ellington
SF: Carmelo/ Beasley /Lazar
PF: Love / Beasley
C: Darko / Pekovic

We'd need to sign two backup guys with the MLE or to minimum contracts, but that is a playoff team :)

Funny how everyone is making Chris Paul trades and not everything the one piece they would demand -- We Johnson. New Orleans doesn't want more point guards. If we decide to trade Rubio and someone offered us Ty Lawson or Darren Collison wouldn't you laugh in their face?

A respected journalist says it exists. Why would I believe you?
