2-2. Hopefully we get to Verlander quick. Does anyone know if Escobar gets the green light today?

As I posted on my twitter - @MikeGamble

Why are Buck Martinez, Pat Tabler and the rest of the Jays sportsnet reporters wearing matching outfits lately? It looks weird @BlueJays

I don't get what Sportsnet is trying to do, and I'm sure they feel weird wearing a "uniform"

I propose that we all wear matching outfits while posting on this board.

Won't get to see the game today :-?

Damn. Esco got gunned down at third. Real close though. He has good speed for a big guy.

Overbay does it again.

Sixth inning, scored tied at 2, with Hill on first and one out. Cito puts the hit and run on, and Overbay gets a fastball on the outside part of the plate belt high. Lyle swings meekly and misses, stranding Hill who gets thrown out easily at second. Then Lyle does his usual thing and goes down looking on the next pitch.

On a hit and run, you can forgive a guy for swinging and missing if the pitch happens to be way off the plate. That's just bad luck, and the chance you take when starting the runner.

But on a fastball in the zone you have to make some kind of contact. Whenever I see Lyle play it reminds me of the movie "8 Men Out" - he often appears to be trying to lose the game.

Now this botched hit and run didn't singlehandedly lose this one but at a key time in the game it was like a kick in the nuts to the whole team.

how long do we have to suffer with overbay, while not letting wallace get a shot. its not like he has any trade value, put on the bench.

My only day off to watch a game in it's entirety and it's delayed and could potentially be rained out. At least there is sure to be more Blackberry Insider footage though, which is always good.

Lyle is the funniest guy on the team.

So the game's postponed. Will be made up on Sunday as the first game of a doubleheader at 1pm.

Esco needs to hustle for the base.

Good running by DeWayne Wise though.

Sam Cosentino sucks. I'm sorry. He's good as a watercooler kinda guy, giving us the lowdown on the menu's of opposing stadium concessions and such, but not as a PBP guy.

And what's with the high socks today?
