They have to beat the Magic, Celtics, Hawks and a few other teams just to get out of the east. Then they have to beat one of about 7 western teams to win it all. Long battle and it might be for nothing.

Egos or chemistry or some tweak ankle might destroy the entire plan. Think Houston with a healthy Yao Ming would have ever thought they would not been there yet.

I'm getting tired of this of course kobe's title with Shaq counts. I hate all this individual legacy bull. This a team sport 5 on 5. All great players win with other great players in all of the history in the nba. If your a great player lucky enough to play for a great organization that really cares about winning then your chances to win a title skyrocket. There a lot of great players who rotted in the prime of their careers because the players were so loyal to organizations that can not get the job accomplished. If this works out this talk will be long gone for sure. I don't really care about player legacy as much a team legacy that the heat could have.
I don't think I Trust The Process anymore! :banghead:

last time i checked kobe's stats he has 5 rings, not 2......i'm fuc**** tired of reading this topic..... when did shaq ever win without an allstar guard? he didn't get it done without kobe....kobe was the player who was hitting game winning shots while shaq's fat a** was on the bench....when did shaq win on his own? huh? didn't he lose with penny? is it a conincidence that he didn't win until kobe came around? didn't kobe save shaq's ass a couple of times?if there was no kobe shaq wouldn't have 3 rings either.....last time i checked shaq wouldn't have won without horry, fisher, dwade, kobe...just to name a few......and for those ppl who still want to claim that those are shaq's rings, then don't say anything about lebron ever winning a ring and in your eyes kobe should have 2 and lebron will forever have 0....i still want someone to answer my question though.....when did shaq ever one without an absolutely superior guard? didnt do it with penny, didn't do it with nash, didn't do it with lebron, didn't do it with mo williams, didn't even do it kobe's rookie yr....if he was the main reason, then why the he** didn't he win until after kobe's 1st yr, is it another coincidence that the lakers didn't win until kobe developed?

It's not your argument, it's just this is the 900th thread to be created about this subject, the generic title and the excessive smileys.

LeBron is a wanna be Kobe. He will win 3 rings with them then try to lead a team by himself. But he will NEVER play with Kwame, Smush and Luke as starters.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

I agree with DeOrgar, who cares about legacy when it's about championships. I would rather be champion then end up being a Dan Marino
