Bravo Mitch.

Post#1 » by zen_4_10 » Fri Jul 23, 2010 6:08 am

I don't start many threads but I have to give props to Mitch for getting 2 real good potential (Caracter possibly VERY good) draft picks so deep in the draft and re-fortifying our bench and team with the kinds of players that we needed the most in a quickly power shifting NBA off season.

Bravo Mitch. Bravo.

I don't expect another move this off season and I am very cool with it.

EDIT - perhaps not all the sexiest moves but all solid one's and right in the pocket of where this team lacked.

Considering the salary limitations we had going into the off-season, he has done an incredible job solidifying the bench.

Not sure if it's the concentration of power in the NBA today that motivated him or if the lesson was learned in 2002-2003, that the talent around your stars needs to be maintained/improved if you're going to continue defending titles. Regardless, great job Mitch!

I agree..... The Lakers have addressed the needs of this team in the off season, a savvy point guard that is a good on ball defender , a ball distributor, and a shooter that can keep the defenders honest(Blake), a defensive stopper and intimidating shot blocker that can give fouls(Ratliff).... also they needed another thug type player defender in picking up Barnes..... Everything else is icing on the cake.... Bring it on Miami..... I can't wait.....

Great job Mitch. T-Mac would be the ultimate icing on the cake IMO, since he provides insurance at both the 2 and 3 and basically is a no risk, huge reward type player.

Yeah right

And where is he gonna play with all that depth ?

Fish,Kobe,Blake,Barnes and maybe Sasha a little bit will take the minutes at guard position

Where does Brown fit?Nowhere...

And he will ask a multiyear deal too......no thanks

Think a little bit before you post will ya?

You guys still need a 3rd PG just for safety.

Hinrich would be the PERFECT pg for this team. LOL I'm not giving up hope either.

I like what he's done. We went from dangerously thin to looking like we actually have some decent depth.

Let's hope the additions of Blake/Barnes and maybe even Caracter/Ratliff will mean fewer regular season minutes for Kobe & Pau.

We might be going for a 3-Peat, but this will be our 4th looong post-season run. Need those guys rested and ready to go come April-June.
Thank you, Phil.

We're going to come out of this off-season with a larger salary NEXT SEASON than we wanted to have this season.
