Okay, my final take on Isiah is this: I don't like D'Antoni as a coach, he's been horrible here BUT people keep saying "just wait until he gets some players"... I'm that way with Isiah: I think with some true franchise players and some flexibility as a GM he's solid.

D'Antoni has a track record with good players (phoenix). What is Isiah's track record?

You know... I may be off here but I could've sworn it was the 100 million dollar contract that delivered Amare, not Isiah!!!

And who is going to accomplish that for him? He certainly couldn't do any of those things himself.

This isnt the NY media...

This is LeBatard from the Miami Herald...

I was speaking in general. Kay was ranting on his radio show about it.... It's everywhere.

[quote=" Dolan's dumb but he isn't that dumb, just trying to boost a buddy's value[/quote]

Dolan is capable of anything and he's probably miffed that D'Antoni and Walsh could not land one of the big 3 after sacrificing two seasons. I would not be surprised if Dolan makes this type of move. Its not a smart or popular move but Donnie appears to need some time to recover from surgery and hiring Isiah will stir up Knick talk for better or worse.

FIU is holding a press conference soon. Coupled with the info in the original post, that's all you need to know.

Isiah had flexibility as a GM. But he decided to trade that flexibility for garbage.

Antonio McDyess, Charlie Ward, Howard Eisley, Othella Harrington, Dikembe Mutombo were all expiring contracts that were used to acquire Stephon Marbury, Jamal Crawford and Eddy Curry.

In those same deals he used multiple 1st round draft picks and traded away young (and at the time time desirable) prospects like Maciej Lampe, Michael Sweetney, Frank Williams and the rights to Milos Vujanic.

Well if Isiah is re-hired be prepared to REALLY be the laughing stock of sports in every national and local media outlet until the Knicks do something substantial on the court.

Maybe it's extreme but Isiah did basically kill the Knicks franchise.

The Marbury/crawford backcourt combo was the works of someone truly mentally challenged.

Do we even know if the FIU stuff is true? I didn't see it on LeBatard's twitter & haven't found it anywhere online.
