Kobe Underwent Knee Surgery Last Week

Post#1 » by Kobe System » Fri Jul 23, 2010 11:23 pm

In response to recent media inquiries, it has been announced today that Kobe Bryant recently underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The successful surgery was performed last week.

Bryant is currently undergoing rehab and is expected to be fully recovered prior to the start of the Lakers’ training camp on September 25.

He was playing injured most of the time last season and we still defend the championship. Can't wait to see him healthy next season. (hoping)

I was thinking the exact thing.

Also, is getting surgery on the finger?
Thank you, Phil.

I ask because he's been shooting with it taped up for 2+ seasons, can't wait to see what he would do with his normal shooting style now.
Thank you, Phil.

From what I remember I think people were saying his one finger is beyond repair.

I think if Kobe will be 100% this season, he will turn into beastmode again. (Thou he's still a beast even if he's not 100%). 2nd MVP comin up!

Damn, that's what I was afraid of. Looks like putting off the surgery for a couple summers cost him in the end, but the good thing is he has learned to play with the injury.
Thank you, Phil.

Training camp in September. I think that is a mistake. 2 months before the season starts. No one needs that long of a camp.

Actual camp will be during late September to early October, with pre-season games played early-mid October.
Thank you, Phil.

Kobe's hands/fingers are screwed. They may never heal 100%, and I can guarantee they will look disfigured even with surgery long after he retires.

I'd blame the Olympics, but Kobe apparently doesn't think it bothers him. So whatever.

The finger shouldn't be a constant problem if its not surgically repaired. However I think there will be a point in the season where he will hurt it on a play and it will bother him for a few games.
