looks good, he position himself to the rim very well. though it looks like hes playing against midgets. hes like the only big player on the video.

I think hes going to be a solid pro...who knows maybe better than that. I think his passing skills are way underrated....for some reason the perception of him is he cant pass and rebound.....I would have to majorly disagree with that.

i mean i just don't understand why everyone says he can't pass, but coaches and trainers say he is a decent passer. sure, maybe a bit turnover prone, but aren't most rookies going into the nba??....he avg'd just under 10 boards in college and in summer league he avg'd a double double....but he cant rebound, and he can't pass? when are you guys going to let that second round stigma (that late second rounders can't ball) go?

what do you think??

Worst highlight video I've ever seen, Misses two layups, looks slow and can't jump, when I saw this I was sorely disappointed we drafted him, he lost the weight and looked great at summer league, but I'm still worried about a guy who has such weight swings, and might go back to being fat and happy once he get's a deal.

When are we going to let that second round stigma go? There have been threads devoted to arguing whether he's the next Boozer, David West, or DeJaun Blair...if anything we're needing to temper our excitement until we see him perform well consistently in the NBA.

Worst post I've ever read. Dude misspelled "two" in his second sentence. Then he forgets that Bynum had weight issues when he was drafted, and assumes a kid who used to be projected as a top pick in the draft would be happy with the minimum salary.

/end half-sarcasm.

You see it every year, the guy the Lakers draft is the next rookie of the year, LOL, Slava Medvenko, Crittendon, Sun Yue, (Chinese Magic Johnson  classic homer overhype of all time) I remember Brian Cook was being compared to great PF's in the league.

It's comical to watch everyone get all worked up about our rooks, as if they know there going to be all stars next year, and if you say something in reality about them? Oh, watch out, your a hater or not a Laker fan. youngins.

You said one thing right, how about we see if he can play against NBA competition and not summer league scrubs, or if he even makes the team, shall we first?

Classic example of my last post. Now Caracter has better post moves and is a better finisher than Pau Gasol, and NBA all star and one of the greats of all time.  I mean are you serious? :o

Again, how about till we wait a bit to see if he can make the team, hold his weight down, as he's only been down to this weight he's at now for what? A month or so?

i don't recall sun yue, critt., etc. having the basketball skills this guy has....i don't recall any of them profected to be a lottery pick like caracter.....caracter was once one of the top big men in the nation....kids got game....and yeah this is reality, so if all the trainers, gms, coaches, media personel say the kid is good and can flat out play ball, then why don't most of you......i mean all you guys say he can't rebound, but he does and has the stats to prove it, he misses shots down low, but doesn't lamar and isn't he young enough to work on finishing? you guys say he cant pass, but in looking at the positive this kid has tons of upside....he could have the potential to be a poor man's elton brand, a dajuan blair, or even a bust....but you guys don't even watch the kid play, r just look for all of the negative in his game, without realizing that yes, he is a rook and he has room to grow, soo he is a viable pickup for us

Yeah we do see this kind of thing a lot. But I guess that's part of being a Laker fan, very rarely is the off-season that exciting for us, especially the draft. We may get a little carried away, but it's all in good fun. It'll be nice to have DC make the roster, then we'll go from there.

I wanted us to get all the second round Centers including Caracter but it didn't work out that way. Caracter had a much better summer league than Pittman but that was a result of him not getting many touches. Despite Pittman being selected way ahead of Caracter I wouldn't be surprised if Caracter became the better player of the two.

If you compare someone to Pau and LO, saying Caracter has tons of post moves, and makes layups, a logical person would assume your saying he's as good as them.
