Probably just because after Love our pf situation is a bit shaky. Beasley seems to be more in the mold of the sf it seems..

Darko/Pek
Love/Tolliver/Beasley
Beasley/Brewer/Johnson
Johnson/Webster
Flynn/ Ridnour

Yeah maybe the coaching staff see Beas playing at the 3 and being more effective, who knows. I'm sure Tolliver will be more attractive to the other teams after him, I mean that by bigger role/opportunity.

I like Tolliver, but I'd rather keep space clear for Love/Beasley. With that competition I don't like our chances anyway.

I remember Kahn mentioning the need for another big when he was commenting on Pekovic or Beasley. Tolliver could be alright. He's nothing special but has produced at the NBA level, doesn't have character issues and would come cheap.

Here is my 12-man roster, of how I think it will look.

Starting Lineup
PG – Derrick Rose
Rose impressed me out there as much as any other player last night. I actually forgot how fast he is.

SG – Andre Iguodala
Andre is another guy who impressed me. He will really benefit from the 3-point line being closer in international ball.

SF – Kevin Durant
Clearly the best player on the roster. It will be interesting to see if he’s used more outside or inside.

PF – Lamar Odom
I think previous international experience is important, especially with this group of young players on the roster. Odom will provide a good coach on the floor, and he has the perfect game to play PF internationally.

C – Tyson Chandler
One thing this team lacks is an interior defensive presence. Chandler is the main guy who can provide that. He looked good last night.

Bench
6 – Rudy Gay (SF/PF) – Gay really impressed me last night. Could be one of the most important players on the team in Turkey.

7 – Russell Westbrook (PG/SG) – Provides an amazing amount of defensive intensity. Didn’t shoot well yesterday, but showed the ability to get to the free throw line.

8 – Kevin Love (PF/C) – This guy was born to play international basketball. Has the perfect offensive skillset.

9 – Stephen Curry (SG/PG) – Even with the shorter three-point line, this team still needs a shooter, much like Michael Redd was in 2008

10 – Brook Lopez (C) – I only included him because of the team’s dire need for big bodies inside. This spot could also go to McGee, but that seems highly unlikely.

11 – Danny Granger (PF/SF) - Has the prototypical game for FIBA. Did not play well last night, but I still don’t see him not making this team.

12 – Chauncey Billups (PG/SG) - He probably won’t play much even if he makes the team, but I think his veteran leadership will be valuable, much like Kidd proved valuable in China.

Depth Chart
Rose / Westbrook / Billups
Iguodala / Curry
Durant / Gay
Odom / Love / Granger
Chandler / Lopez

I can understand the logic in drafting Johnson instead of Cousins, but I won't be a happy camper if Pekovic doesn't play for us next year.

If Kahn really wanted to tick off Walsh, he should totally pursue Earl Barron.

It's going to be fun watching Ricky Rubio going up against Derrick Rose. Both have great BBall IQ, a desire to win, and leadership. Rose is the uber athletic freak, while Rubio is the anticipation king.

After Love, Beasley, Pek and Darko could all play the position for stretches, and Hayward could see time there in smallball situations.

I'm just anxious to get the season underway and see a Darko/Love/Beasley/Johnson/Flynn lineup, and what Pekovic and Webster can bring to the table as well.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I thought K-Love really balled it up the other day. I just love the way he fought, battled down low for rebounds. I think he'll definitely make the team, just for the fact that he is a rebound machine. Also, the guy has great intangibles. His bball IQ is nice to see. I've personally never seen an outlet passer like him before, but i never got the chance to watch Wes Unseld or anything...

DRose and Durant being on the same team is so unfair. they were clearly the best two players out there.
