What about signing Eddie House or Roger Mason Jr?

Post#1 » by wfiles » Sun Jul 25, 2010 6:07 pm

Lakers still need another 3-point shooter. Also with Walton possibly being out for the season then that frees up another roster spot.

PG - Fisher/Blake
SG - Kobe/House or Mason/Vujacic
SF - Artest/Barnes/Ebanks
PF - Gasol/Odom/Caracter
C - Bynum/Ratliff

No, we're done. Neither would even touch the court, be happy with what we have.

I would love to bring shannon back. But i am sure we could live with vujacic backing up kobe. He was actually playing some good ball last year before that ankle injury.

Agree...........why do some guys love flawed players ? What the hell else does either do besides take a lot of 3's and miss more than half of them ? Neither can play defense worth a damn, if you can't look at our current team and realize we're geared more towards defense and locking down the perimeter I don't know what's wrong with you.

I'd pass as well. At this point if we get Shannon back, that's great. If not, I'm ready to roll with who we got.
Thank you, Phil.

We're full. Shannon back would be a luxury, but there no mins left so its pointless. Although House could be like Craig Hodges on the bulls back in the day, comes in for the last 30 secs of quarters to squeeze off a 3.

Barnes can play the 2 and is a decent shooter, Blake can play the 2 as well and with us developing Ebanks, I'm not sure I want anyone else in front of him. There is barely going to be minutes for Sasha as it is now.

Pretty positive we're done. don't forget we may also be moving Sasha near the deadline for an extra piece, only way I'd want another guy now is if we traded Sasha for the other piece(s)

i think we still need a 5th guard to come off the bench, brown works out just fine. Hopefully mitch gets it done sooner then later

Yeah but what supaflash says is true, bringing Shannon back is pretty much saving him from the embarrassment he brought on himself. Plus it gives him the option to do it over in a less intense free agent market next summer. Bottom line Shannon was a fool.

shannon did what he had to do, and that was to ultimately get a long contract. I strongly see the lakers giving brown a 3-4 year contract worth about 8-11million with a possible player option for the third or fourth year.

its been stated that we're still looking for that 5th guard wouldnt you guys prefer brown. i understand about the tax and all but we're already at 126 mill (tax inc) whats another 5

get it done mitchy

Always liked Eddie House, he can come in like a Vinnie Johnson spark plug type we used to have in Cooper and light it up and build a lead or maintain a lead, Wish we had a spot for him instead of Luke.

I wouldn't mind Eddie House. Nice shooter, never can have enough of those guys around.

nothing foolish about what shannon did. there's nothing great about a 1yr contract worth 2mil that will leave him in limbo the summer of an impending lock out.

Bring back Brown and call it a summer.
This team is loaded already.
House and Mason are nice complementary players but won't have PT on this team.

No money left means no more players. Wish Walton would retire...
