D-Will Trade?

Post#1 » by FRiiDG3 » Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:33 pm

I just joined this site but i've followed these topics for a while now. I was wondering if there was a chance we could get D-Will from the Jazz (I've done the trade checker, and we would give Harris and maybe Lee and Outlaw). I've seen ppl talk about it in some other threads but i want 2 know if it could happen. I honestly believe it could be a better possibility than getting Paul. Discuss

Outlaw can't be traded yet and it would take a lot of strippers, cocaine and some Russian mobsters for us to get him from Utah.

I doubt DWill wants to leave now that the Jazz FO got him Al Jefferson. Unless they suck this season.

Getting superstars in trades rarely happen even for fair offers. One thing every GM knows...4 quarters do not make a dollar. That is to say...a package of "stuff" will never equal the value of a true star because simply put...this is a star's league. Teams that just start a bunch of good players at every position rarely beat the team with that one or two big guns...and a few OK role guys.

The reason Paul is open for discussion...is because there is blood in the water. That's the way it works. What teams have a reason BEYOND talent value to trade their guy. Is something motivating them? Are the wheels in motion? Financial reasons? A player making noise? PR reasons? As of now...what reason does Utah have to trade Derron Williams? There isnt one.

Just coveting him doesnt make it so.

E is right. Even though I put D.Will as a player that the Nets should target a trade for in order for Proky's vision to happen, you still need the team that has the player to have a desire to trade him. With CP3, there is evidence that he wants to leave and probably now. For D-Will, we won't know unless he says something and/or the team plays bad.

There will be one hell of a bidding war for CP3 and DWill. By then, maybe Harris is a stud?

Our prospects, draft picks and cap room make us a major player in any big name players who are on the trade market. The thing is...a guy has to actually be ON the trade market.

Derron isnt, Paul is...despite what the Hornets are trying to say. They might be able to salvage the sitation...but his name is going to continue to be out there. If they are going to deal him, they can wait until the pressure dies down. But....if they wait more than this year...they wont get any where close to a good offer once he has one year left. He wil have much more leverage then.
