Kobe has been the driving force behind this. I have been talking to Kobe back and forth like we were boyfriend and girlfriend for the last two weeks and sending us texts and talking. It feels good when you have the best player in the world in your corner and Kobe is definitely in my corner. He sent me a crazy text message today saying something like, anyone crazy enough to mess with me is crazy enough to play with me. So I think that was a good tone to set and I think I am ready to be a Laker.

That means that Bryant is finally embracing the role of leader. For him to not care about Bell, Barnes, and Artest for confronting him during games, that means that Jelly Bean's kid just cares about winning. Take it for what it is.

and they have to ask him how is he going to feel when he plays Orlando. Because the Magic fans here in Orlando LOVES this guy. And they were really hoping he would resign. My girl found out the he was signing with the Lakers and threw up a little in her mouth! LOL! Why do the Orlando fans hate the Lakers so much??????? Oh yea...the whole Shaq thing! hahahaha. They shouldn't hate the Lakers over Shaq. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

How is barnes perceived as a locker room guy? he's been to 8 teams in 9 years - is he a bad team guy or has he just not found a place where he fits?

There's a difference between being the leader and embracing the leadership role. Bryant was the former for the longest time before becoming the latter. Fisher, on the other hand, has been the latter for years.

He says he always wanted to be a laker and took less, but I wonder why he messed around with Toronto then?

He admits to texting Kobe, hard to tell when they texted though.

There's no doubt that Barnes wanted badly to be a Laker. The Lakers are simply his all-time favorite team, much like all of us on here. He took less to come here, and seems humbled by it-- plus he realizes that he is simply a role player since the team just came off back-to-back championships.

I feel much better with Barnes on the team. Coming off the bench with Odom, Blake, and everyone else, he will fit right in.

Our 2nd team could probably beat the T-Wolves' 1st team.

Not sure I agree, he seems to have had not very many options after the Toronto deal fell through that I think he would have went there for 10 mill over 3 years in a second if it would have went down. It didn't, he realized he wasn't going to get another deal like that, so then all of a sudden became a guy who's going to take less to play here. I think that's what the market gave him.
