I agree! He was great in HS, College and for the games he played, he averaged what about 8.5ppg and about 4 rpg... He reminds me of an offensive minded Jeff Foster.

Id love to see the Pacers bring in Rik Smits and Dale Davis to work with Hibbert and Hasbrough, it help them a ton

Landry is only 2 years older than Hansbrough and his game is so much more developed. Hansbrough might be the one of the worst low-post scorers in the NBA. Look at his FG% and the type of shots he takes. He is far from havin Landry like potential. He wasn't drafted on potential anyways. He is gonna be 25, he was drafted to come in and play right away, not be an all-star. Hansbrough ain't gonna get much better. He just is gonna play hard, so will Landry. Hansbrough was drafted too high. McRoberts has potential to be pretty good, not Hansbrough.

Landry is Al Harrington 2.0, somewhat of a tweener, w/o the range.

Since we're discussing b/u 4's the thing about Tyler that will never show up in the stat sheet is his strength, high-motor and great attitude towards team accomplishments. I am guessing that his intagibles are worth giving up a couple of points and rebounds. I like the fact that he may not get the rebound everytime, but he might've clobbered somebody in the process. Supposedly Tyler is rocked up (no roids) like never before.

Now I am not saying if Tyler is better, but I can say that the difference between he and Landry is not so large that I would be inclined to include our 2013 first.

Landry is an amazin low-post scorer, exactly what we need next to Hibbert. Landry is tough, has a good motor(not many players have a better motor than Hansbrough), and will stay in front of his man on D. He is Tyler Hansbrough, just with a nice touch around the rim and and a reliable jumpshot. Hansbrough is replaceable. There are a lot of those kind of tough, high motor players around the leaue. You don't draft them in the lottery.

No. No there aren't.

Bad players who try hard just get mislabeled into this category. Hansbrough out-motors 99% of the league.

If we're going to have to wildly overpay Landry after this upcoming year just to keep him (and we would), why not just overpay to sign him, while not giving up guys we would like to keep for him?

Just thinking out loud...

Sorry, you cannot trade multiple 1st Rd draft picks for Lawson and Landry. I'd give up one, but not two. These two don't push us to a guaranteed contender, so I don't think it's a good idea.
