NO gets: Iggy, Brand, Beli, Kapono, Evans, and Philly 1st
Phi gets: Jose, Peja, Songalia Posey, and Mia 1st
Raps get: Lou Williams, Thad Young and Okafor
big ? is whether NO takes on Brand. IMO for NO Brand > Okafor, a year shorter contract on a better offensive player. they are also taking on 6 extra mill in salary this year. is all this worth it for Iggy?
They don't lose Collison and I think Paul would like to play with Iggy
Philly I think does this, they move Brand and Williams at the cost of taking on Jose and moving Iggy but with Turner this opens up mins at the 2 and cuts salary starting next year. Also Jose and Holiday would be an interesting 1/2
I think the Raps do this, they get an athletic SF, a young scoring PG who would thrive in an up tempo style, they get a defensive C. They move Jose and don't use either TPE
This is such a crazy deal it might actually be worth looking into. Although I think that exact trade would be flat out horrible for Philly, even tho they gain alot of expirings, the basis of the trade makes sense. Let's modify this now and see what a better possibility would be:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=2cpdp5w
Toronto Receives: Lou Williams, Thaddeus Young, Emeka Okafor
Philadephia Receives: Peja Stojakovic, Jose Calderon, 2.9M TE, Raptors 2012 1st, Hornets 2012 1st
New Orleans Receives: Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, 11.5M TE
Toronto needs to throw away their TE here, since this can be the end of moves for awhile, and New Orleans needs incentive to take on 2 monster contracts, given they are a team trying to lessen their financial burden. They give away their most lucrative expiring and a bad contract, but gain 2 better players in the process. Philly is really getting the short end of the stick here, but they gain a true PG, an attractive expiring, and some picks and major salary relief. This is a strict yes or no desicion based on the direction they are going (full rebuild).
It leaves us with a pretty impressive team:
Williams/Jack/Banks
Derozan/Barbosa
Young/Weems/Kleiza
Bargnani/Kleiza/Davis
Okafor/Johnson/Alabi
Minute distribution:
Williams[25]/Jack[23]
Derozan[25]/Barbosa[18]/Weems[5]
Young[27]/Weems[13]/Kleiza[8]
Bargnani[8]/Kleiza[10]/Johnson[18]/Davis[12]
Okafor[22]/Bargnani[24]/Johnson[2]
