Warriors sign Jannero Pargo to deal

Not too sure how legit it is, but Kawakami seems to claim it's true (from Marc Spears' Twitter)

I don't like this pick-up much (Should have went with a veteran like AnthonyJohnson), but does that mean Lin will play the 2nd unit SG?

This is great. Pargo is as good a backup as it gets. The Hornets crumbled after losing him. He's a great defender for his size, has a decent offensive skill set, and can be a Curry Lite off the bench so as not to disrupt the system. I think he's an excellent replacement for CJ, for a much cheaper price.

MT II is also reporting it... so sounds like a done deal. JP at vets minimum...

Pargo is as awful backup as it gets, completely unaware of how bad he sucks and a chucker that makes Al Harrington look like a team player.

Article claims the vet minimum (for 7 years in the league) is $1.3-mil, but the salary cap FAQ states it is $1,146,337 for 2010-11 ($1,265,976 for 2011-12 for 8 years in the league). Sounds like 2-yr/$2.41M.

He'll be a 3rd string point guard at best. A decent backup PG, but should in no way get more than 20 mins per game.

good signing since it's cheap. So is Pargo #2 on PG depth chart now? Does this make the Lin signing more PR than before?

As someone who's a Bulls/Warriors fan, I hate this signing. I'm very happy the Bulls didn't re-sign him, but now he has to torment the Warriors with his chucking. Oh and he's a chucker alright. Very disappointed with this. Why not go for someone like Patty Mills instead?

Lin will be 3rd string or d-league.

Definitely PR then. Not often do you have an undrafted rookie jersey being sold before your #6 overall draft pick...

You do when you draft a guy named Friday at 6.

No, I just think Lin will end up having a better career than Uh-Oh.

I didn't even realise he was back at the Bulls, and sucked last season too.

Very bizaar signing.

I don't understand the signing. Could easily get someone out of the D-League with more value.

So Pargo is worth 2 mil, but Moz isn't worth 4. Got it.

Keep the destruction rolling Larry.
