Final Offseason Move: MN -NJ

Post#1 » by Dandy » Tue Jul 27, 2010 8:54 pm

Minnesota Trades: Kevin Love, Michael Beasley
Minnesota Receives: Derrick Favors, Kris Humphries, Quinton Ross

New Jersey Trades: Derrick Favors, Kris Humphries, Quinton Ross
New Jersey Receives: Kevin Love, Michael Beasley

Minnesota Lineup
C: Milicic, Koufus, (Prestes)
PF: Favors, Pekovic, Humphries
SF: Johnson, Webster, Hayward, Ross(waived), (Bjelica)
SG: Brewer, Ellington
PG: Flynn, Ridnour, Telfair, (Rubio)

New Jersey Lineup
C: Lopez, Petro
PF: Love
SF: Beasley, Outlaw, James
SG: Williams, Lee, Morrow
PG: Harris, Farmar

I feel like this makes the Nets a playoff team in the East, Love and Lopez will take some time to develop defensively but their BBIQ will compensate for any lack of athleticism. As for the T-Wolves Favors fills a need up front that the Wolves have never had. He is a strong finisher inside and an aggresive rim protector on defense.

I also feel like this trade gives New Jersey more assets going forward should they do a Heat like stock pile. The trade also goes along with Minnesota's motto of cutting salary. Let me know your thoughts.

theres no freaking way that the T wolves would trade our 2 best players for the unproven Favors and two other scrubs, our current roster is overall better than last season's squad, after this trade, we are significantly worse, no way the wolves agree, not even Kahn would've done this

WHAT?

If that happens it will be the next to last offseason move for every fan of the Wolves.

The last move will be picking a new team to root for.

That might be the worst idea in the history of ideas.

I like Favors, but this is not good.

that's massive overpaying. make it either Love OR Beasley but not both. New Jersey would only accept Love though which would be fine by me honestly.

If they did that I would ask for 120% refund for my season tickets.

Durant just said Darko is one of best centers in the league. For once, I'm not being sarcastic in a tweet. #Twolves
