No. I love Lamar Odom. If I'd trade anyone for Murphy it'd start with Barnes. I'd move Odom to back up Artest, and Murphy to back up Gasol since Odom is more of a 3 anyway.

Murphy is a very good player offensively. He has a high basketball IQ, and is a better outside shooter than LO from 15-18 ft.
LO though is a better fit for the Lakers at this point with this type of personel. He doesn't need too many shots, he has pass-first mentality (to a fault), has length, and can get out in the fast break. He is also a better defender. LO can actually guard the likes of KG and other bigs like him. Murphy struggles on D.

I would think about this trade but I would ultimately keep LO...I think.
