Predict Clippers 2010-2011 record

Post#1 » by PG3 » Mon Jul 26, 2010 2:59 am

We improve from last year mainly because Blake Griffin is back from injury. My prediction is a 38-44 record, with Griffin averaging 14ppg and 8rpg

How can u make a prediction when we aren't even in Training Camp?
There will be trades & F.A. signings.
If you want me to predict right now , I would say 12-70.
The good news is anything over 12 wins is a bonus

I see your team winning about...20-35 games. Griffin is a beast. But the injury hampered his development. In two years he'll be great.

I zoned out last season, what did we finish on again, 29 wins?

Anyway, I think we'll be better this season. Last season we had only 1 guy that had been on the roster for longer than 18 months. We've kept most of a decent core, I can see 36-38 wins this season.

I'd say around 37 wins or so, assuming no major injuries to starters (lol like that will happen)

If we keep the roster that we have now, and have no serious injuries, I'd say Blake is worth 5 more wins..

To be honest I don't see us being any better on paper compared to last year. Injuries and the such are inevitable. Will go for another poor 30 win season.

I think it is unlikely for one of the best players on the team to miss the entire season again.

I think we'll win something around 30 to 35 games next season and i'm going to go out on a limb and predict that we'll trade Baron at some point as well.

BTW: The start of the season will be crucial for us.
If the team has a good start to the season and gels real quick we might be able to surprise some folks and fight for a playoff spot. If not the development of the younger guys should be what we're looking for.

41-41 or slightly better if we can stay healthy. :sigh:

Being optimistic of the non-dunleavy system, I shall say.. 43-39 if we remain healthy.

However that is never the case, so realistically with injuries.. it would be 30-52.

Not really sure why you guys are acting as if it'll be the same as previous years. Del Negro doesn't have a thousand page novel for a playbook. Baron will play better in this system. At least if we really are going to play fast pace.

I'm going to say a record of 38-44 also. This is if the guys play where expected to and the key guys (Gordon, Griffin, Kaman & Baron) are relatively healthy. We underachieved last year and have a better overall roster this season. The main loss is clearly Camby, but I'd gladly take the addition of Griffin over him.

I think we're capable of being better than that, but the team has to prove that it can close out games. It's ridiculous how many winnable games we blew last season.

I say anywhere from 35-40 wins if no other moves are made

^^
I think that's the most realistic range. Mid 30's if we have a disappointing season, and around 40 if we play as expected.

I'm usually too optimistic in making these predictions, but if the core guys------Baron, Kaman, Griffin, and Gordon-----can all play in 65+ games, then I'll say at least 38 wins. I thought we underachieved last year while Dun was the coach, we were 21 - 28 and without Blake. I think this roster is an upgrade from last year, we should be a lot better defensively, and we seem to have a little more firepower. Hopefully Baron will take less jumpers and we push the ball more.

I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Oh let's not stop there. We have to add the 16 wins in the playoffs as well. We will be 98-0. Mike, Scottie and Dennis ain't got nothin on us. 8-)
