BOS wants Delonte West?

I wonder if they'd consider Rasheed Wallace for West + Telfair?

Rasheed is going to retire, but hasn't filed his paperwork yet. It'd save BOS's TPE.

5-pages on him on the BOS forum, hoping to get him once we buy him out:

1.He was happy when he was here, which should stand in his favor.

2. He also knows our system

3. He is an excellent defender. He and Rondo were a hellacious tandem and could be again.

4. He can shoot from the perimeter, and we need that.

5. We are DESPERATE for help off of the bench, especially at the 2 and 3 spots, and Delonte has proven to be effective at the 2.

6. When we play the Heat his presence on the floor will mess with LeBron's head.

Seriously, considering where our roster is at right now, how could we turn him down?

That'd be okay. I would think they could toss us a 1st rounder as well? West is a valuable role player after all if that's what they want to use him for.

I wonder if they've forgiven Telfair yet though...?

I'd do that trade. Then sign a vet PG to a 1 year deal.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

It has to depend on what kind of contract they think they could sign Delonte West to.

Personally, I don't think $4.5 mil expiring would be too bad for them, especially since they'd avoid a multi-year deal. That may be a plus, for a team who may quickly go from contender to rebuilding, and also Delonte West isn't the most stable guy in the NBA. It might be nice to be able to add him for talent now, but not have to worry about extra years .. or frustrations if those years were team options.
