Possible Trade Idea?

So the Wizards now have 3 point guards, John Wall, Arenas and Kirk Hinrich

What about trading Troy Murphy for Kirk Hinrich?

That was thought of right at draft time and could happen if things change, but for now the Pacers won't deal Murphy until Hansborough and Foster are totally healthy.

Yeah I hear that! Pacers would be fine if everyone could stay healthy. Foster could still start if needed and grab 10 boards a game, Hansbrough is like an offensive minded Foster. I wonder how their rehab is going.....

^^One of the most unfounded statements I've seen.

He's got the jumper, he gets to the line (which IS offense...just ask Reggie Miller), he pulls down offensive boards all the time. He's got more than just a little offense. He scored 8.5 points a game in 17 minutes of action per game. How is that no offense? That's a higher rate of scoring than Troy Murphy.

hmm, the guy was all time leading scorer for the tarheels wasnt he? 20.7 points a game. he averaged 8.5pts in 17 mins. he was one of the few pacers that could get to the line. sure he doesnt chuck threes all game long, but there can be only one troy murphy...

Low FG%, unreliable jumper, and is inconsistent at the line. Have you ever seen his post up moves and hook shots? All reasons why he has no offense. I would rather him start than Murphy tho.

74.3% when rusty is inconsistent?

Dude...Paul Millsap, Carlos Boozer, LeMarcus Aldridge...these are all guys who don't have post moves or hook shots to go on. Tyler gets his shots inside by grabbing offensive boards and laying them in. Leave the post for Hibbert.

All reasons why he has no offense.

They aren't reasons. It's like saying that Taco bell has no food because they don't have burgers or fries.

I would rather him start than Murphy tho.

Agreed.

Ugh. Kirk Hinrich has diminished in play for 200 straight games. At this point, he's still a bad contract, and I wouldn't want him cluttering up the 2011 summer payroll anymore than I would want Jose Calderon. At this point, Kirk needs to have his value rebuilt before he gets expirings. It just took a mid 1st round pick to move him once (granted, yes, for pure cap space, not an expiring), and I don't see why it wouldn't take around the same to move him again.

I tried that one around draft time and got laughed off the board.

Jamal Crawford would be a nice target though, but it'll depend on how his negotiations go with the Hawks on a contract extension as to whether or not he gets traded.

Do we really need another shooting guard?

Jamal would probably play point, but he's a bad fit.

A terrible fit to be precise.
