I think the fairest way to do this, if LAL wanted to get rid of Sasha now, is to include Telfair in the deal.

MIN GETS: Sasha + LAL 1st

LAL GETS: Telfair + $2.75 mil in cap space.

FOR LAL, they sell their pick for $5.5 mil, and they get a back-up PG.

FOR MIN, they were talking about waiving Telfair anyway - now they don't have to waive him AND Sasha. They pay $2.75 mil in cap space for the pick, instead of converting cap space into less valuable cash.

I would due a trade with LA for Sasha Vujacic in a heartbeat if all we had to give up is West or Telfair.He' a bench player for life but could help this team next year by being a proven bench player and a part of two championship teams.Plus he aslo know the triangle and has played under Kurt Rambis for years.But most important of all he would real help out during the practices as he has always be know as a scrappy guy who gets under people skin.Could help the T'Wolves have a little bit of and edge.

I guess, but then it'd feel like you're renting him without any real compensation. Especially with all the problems "The Machine" would likely cause.
