He just recently found out his mom is Jewish? I could maybe understand a great grandmother, but his insane jail ridden mom? Did she wake up one day and thought this would be a good thing to tell Amare? And he has relatives, who live there? He is aware that the Knicks will not allow him to play for any National team, right?

To me it just seems that he wants to stay in the spotlight as long as possible. He couldn't get any other big names to come to NY, so now this shows up? :roll:
