Great move. Dude was getting too much $ to sit on the bench. I wish the aussie the best!

Yea i think he's a good guy and he's quite a talented offensive big. But the sport of basketball is too tough for him. You could tell he's physically overmatched against NBA bigs.

On a positive note David Andersen can flood the canadian market with bootlegged VHS tapes of aussie classics like Mad Max and Howling III

Yeah you can't use tough and David Anderson in the same sentence.

Will Conroy, Ishmael Smith, Garret Temple, John Lucas 3 jr... the usual suspect.

I quite like Smith. He ran the Summer league team decently.

I was really hoping to see him develop into a poor man's Matt Bullard; but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

I'm hoping that Toronto is not thinking that they just traded for a Center! I don't think that he and Bargniani would work well on the floor at the same time.

Mr.E i think your prediction viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1037712 will most assuredly come true now. Damage Assessment will likely get a bigger role north of the border. His defense won't look so out of place now playing with the likes of Calderon and Bargnani.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does well in Canada. The first year in the NBA is typically especially rough on euros. I can see him playing about 25 minutes backing up the 4/5. Something like 12/5 from him isn't out of the question.

Offensively he belongs in this league.

They need another soft big man to play 4/5 when Bargniani is on the bench. DA plays no D whatsoever so he's a good fit on a team that is last in defense and this continues their trend of this summer: Acquiring players that don't play defense.

Kudos for getting a 2nd for him. I believe that's now 8 beers I owe Morey, or two J&B on the rocks.

The Spurs signed Temple. He was good in his 2 stints with us, attacking the basket, using his length on D and hustling :-?

how about trading Jared Jeffries for Mike Bibby? (ATL supposedly wants to give Jeff Teague the starting PG job). Bibby knows Adelman's system and has played with Brad Miller and Kevin Martin.

David has a Danish passport and spent 9 years in Europe professionally (vs only 1 year in Australia league) so it's OK to call him a Euro player.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming
