I'd be worried that Ray Allen's mom, despite looking disturbingly like Ray Allen, is a sight better looking than LeBron's mom. All kidding aside if we end up with Josh Howard and Dwest I will be very happy with this off season. If we can get him cheap enough you keep a close eye on the off court stuff and cut him if causes problems.

I feel as if we have more important positions to address. But I loved Delonte while he was here, and if he were to come for the minimum, sign me up! Can't go wrong there.

Was reading about Delonte rumors on Cavalier site and saw a T-shirt that said:

"You can head south, but your Mom is riding West."

What kind of contract do you think you'd have to give him?

$4.5 mil for one season seemed fair, but you may be able to get something cheaper ... but he'd want more years.

Reason I'm asking (for MIN) is if you liked his contract, and wanted to trade the retiring Sheed, it'd save MIN $500,000, and you'd keep your TPE money.

Oh - and if its "old home week" we'd happily include Telfair in the deal!

Being back here is the best possible situation for the guy. He never wanted to leave to begin with, and knows our stuff. To bring him in is basically not looking a gift horse in the mouth. So what if h's crazy, at least he will have some friends here, and a coach who likes him. He will have a support system. It isn't often that you get a chance to pick up a decent player, in his prinme, who knows your system and can fit into it.

If we could have picked up a 3, I'd be really happy.Maybe we can swing something for Rudy, and slot him there. The key thing is that our depth at the wings is garbage, and Delonte could really do a lot to ease our suffering there. You know that he can play 20 solid minutes a game, and the MAIN thing we have to worry about is KEEPING RAY AND PAUL"S MINUTES DOWN. That means getting guys DOC WILL PLAY. He will play Delonte. Everyone knows that.

I'd luv Del back....but would rather a taller wing who can spell PP....Jarvis Hayes for my mind....however if Del would come back cheap...it would be good for his mental state....and he would slot right in....btu he does not fill a priority need at the moment...a taller 2/3 who can shoot and spell PP is he first need

Holy ****. What is wrong with you people? You guys want a 3? Hey, we don't even have a legit backup 2 right now that can knock down the 3. Bradley's quick, but he can't knock down the 3. Marquis is more suited to play the 3 than he is the 2. Where's the outside shooting going to come from on that 2nd line other than from Nate? Do we really want Marquis floating around on that perimeter, as opposed to posting guys up? If we sign Delonte, Quis moves to the 3 spot permanently.

The thing about Quis is that his post up game is really just against 2 guards. Move him to the three and he isn't as good.

Keeping him around is just a stop gap, IMO. I'd trade him in a second if they could get a legit 3/4 type.

I don't think 'Quis moves to the 3 permanently if we land, say, Delonte. He becomes added depth in case of injuries, uncharacteristic play, foul trouble, etc. He will also be good for quick stretches where we need a defensive stopper, and I imagine there will be games where Ray and/or PP need or should have off for rest.

I also feel like his size/length gives him a defensive advantage at the 2 but pushed over to the 3 his height/length isn't so much of an advantage and his strength isn't great. He can give us minutes at the 3 but I don't view him as a 3.

Worst case, he is a tradeable, expiring contract if we need to match salaries.

Where does this idea that West knows our system come from? The Celtics team he played for is a lot different then the team now. If west came back, aside from Pierce he would be the only one from that old team.

What kind of contract do you think you'd offer/he'd accept?
