I'm guessing they see losses to OSU, Iowa, and then either MSU or Mich.

Re: Badgers Over/Under - 9 Wins
Maybe add ASU into that list. I remember watching they had a young team that wasn't too bad. I would expect the Badgers to win but it is a team they could lose to I guess?

Re: Badgers Over/Under - 9 Wins
I'm predicting 10-2 for UW, but I wouldn't bet money on this.
I think we lose at Iowa and then one more. I think we could take OSU this year, it's a night game at Camp Randall and the crowd will be jacked.

Yeah I feel comfortable that they should go 10-2 this year but I wouldn't make a bet on this one way or the other, they could just as easily be under or over imo.

I have a hard time seeing them beat OSU but I think they will beat MSU and Michigan which is still a huge mess.

*Waits for PackBuckGophZag to chime in on why Minnesota can't even be listed because of their suck*

Yeah Minnesota has been picked to finish dead last by just about every "expert" out there. Hopefully we can prove the "experts" wrong just like the Bucks did.

The way I look at this year is that we either surprise people and make it to a bowl game and get a couple of big wins, or we blow as expected and Brewster get's fired.
I'm going to the Wisconsin/Minnesota game in Madison. It's 2 days after my birthday and it's also homecoming. If any of you see a gopher fan with a massive maroon and gold sombrero, you'll know that's me.

BTW: I need to change my user name, I'm officially a Golden Eagle, just another reason to cheer against Bucky.

Re: Badgers Over/Under - 9 Wins
Way too many schools man.
I have a feeling I may be at that game too, I'll maybe see a game or two at TCF now that I live here, I may be going to Iowa because I had a good time there last time I went, I am going to Vegas when UW is there (I have a feeling I may not even make the game), and I'll probably hit a few games in Madison.
Why? I don't know, there is really nothing better than College Football game days. A case of good beer, pizza, and the NFL Red Zone channel does come close, though.

Re: Badgers Over/Under - 9 Wins
I have a wide range of emotions about the upcoming season; I don't even want to commit to an over/under to be truthful. With the offense we have returning and the hype we're receiving, you would hope for over, but we've seen many times the Badgers struggle when expectations were high. On the other hand, we haven't had these expectations under the new regime yet (BB and all of the new assistants). But you also must consider that the holes on the team are on defense, and we have to consider the injuries some of our guys are coming back from.
I'd jinx them no matter what I say. I guess I'll commit enough to say, going in and assuming we see guys return to health, I'm expecting a season with double-digit wins. We'll see how that goes.

Re: Badgers Over/Under - 9 Wins
To me, if they can figure it out at corner they'll be fine.
There were a few times during the year, the Iowa game especially, where they just isolated our weakness (corner) and ran quick outs, etc. all game.
Also, any spread team we play.....if we play **** 4-3 base defense the entire game and rush 4 95% of the time as we historically do, I'm going to rip someone's head off.
I was at the Northwestern game last year and was getting dirty looks in the crowd because I was just yelling for them to change it up once or twice and blitz in some form. Sure enough, the 4-5 times they rush the QB with more than 4 in the entire game, they get burned once for 20 yards, sack and fumble, INT, incompletion, and other pressures. But when they only rushed 4 they'd just get torched by giving Kafka 5 seconds to throw the ball.
Anyways, small deficiencies like this in the schemes and playing time decisions usually separate this team from being good instead of great when the expectations are high.

Re: Badgers Over/Under - 9 Wins
I've been conditioned to expect let-downs from the Badgers over the last ten years. This year feels a little different; I think they may be better than the national pub they've been getting. Their offense really should be among the best in the nation.
I'm hoping for a BCS birth obviously but a Capitol One Bowl wouldn't shock me either. I wouldn't touch that bet.

Re: Badgers Over/Under - 9 Wins
In the NFL you can have an unexpected loss (Packers losing to Tampa last year) and still recover and have a great year. In college one unexpected loss can ruin the whole season. And we always seem to have at least one of them every year.
