Wall might have all the potential in the world, but lets face it; for a majority of his career, he'll be playing against some of the best all time PG in an era that's pretty much saturated with star level guards.

And he'll be able to hold his own against every PG mentioned in this thread. I don't care how old Paul and Williams are. After their first 3 seasons it was clear they were among the best PG in the league. Some were claiming they were the best.

CP3 needs to stay healthy. He has had some injury free seasons but it is something to be concerned about. Just saying.

Yeah. I like how some people here can predict the future.

So should I put "I think" in front of every one of my predictions? Would that make you feel better? All of this is just my opinion.

Of course Rose is better now. But he's certainly not faster than Wall. No chance in hell.

What makes you think that? Rose ran faster in their respective pre-draft measurements, and he's even faster with the ball in his hands. I don't see how Wall is clearly faster, at best it's a wash..

even if rose is SOMEHOW slower.....it doesnt matter he's built like a tank so he's just gonna bully the leaner gaurds anyways

He definitely has the talent to be a very good defender...hopefully he's just committed to it.

I'd bet that he'll never be better than a healthy Chris Paul.

but seriously though, if he's to become the best point, it will probably be in his 3rd yr..that seems to be a pivotal yr for most guards

It's not like Chris Paul is on a Magic Johnson type level or something.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

What's exactly Wall has that separate him from today PG like Rose, D-Will, Rondo?

Damn, lot of Bulls fans posting in this thread.

Wall has a chance to become the best at his position, but it's going to take a few years.

He's taller and faster than most point guards including Rose. Don't get me wrong, I love Rose and he'll be better than Wall for a while. But when we're talking upside, sky is the limit for Wall.

He is so tall, fast, athletic, talented. With an improved jumper, few more pounds of muscle and just the experience of playing in the NBA he'll have a chance to become the best in the league in a couple of years.

It's funny that people mention Rose and Rondo...since 2 years ago these guys weren't being mentioned at all.

See how much things can change in such a short period of time?

I stand corrected.

“If you miss on John Wall, the worst you get is Derrick Rose(notes),” the GM said.
